2015 Christmas Bucketlist

It’s the most wonderful time of the year. Right? Well, even if you are a total Grinch, here are 25 things to do this Christmas season to get you into the spirit.

1. Decorate a Christmas tree.

2. Have a snowball war.

Yes, a war, because regular snowball fights are boring.

3. Go see Santa.

Go grab some friends and be the oldest ones in line for a picture with Santa. It'll be a great picture.

4. Go sledding.

5. Build a gingerbread house.

6. Bake cookies.

Don't eat all of them but, instead, make some cookie plates for friends and neighbors.

7. Go see the Christmas lights around town.

8. Take a Christmas card picture.

Break out the ugly Christmas gear and pose for a few photos.

9. Watch "A Christmas Story."

Is it really even Christmas if you don't watch it at least once during TBS's 24-hour marathon?

10. Watch "How The Grinch Stole Christmas."

11. Watch "Elf."

It's the symbol of Christmas time.

12. Take a sleigh ride.

13. Buy presents for Angel Tree.

Angel Tree helps gives children with incarcerated parents a happy holiday season.

14. Go to a Christmas concert.

15. Listen to Christmas music.

And sing along at the top of your lungs.

16. Drink a lot of hot chocolate.

Nothing says Christmas like hot chocolate with a million marshmallows in a cute winter cup while watching a movie.

17. Build a snowman.

18. Have a Christmas party.

19. Drink eggnog or, at least, try it.

20. Have a throwback day and watch old Christmas episodes of all your favorite cartoons.

You'll find me watching "Rugrats" and "The Fairly Odd Parents" Christmas specials on Christmas morning.

21. Go last minute Christmas shopping with the crazy crowds.

Do you remember that scene in " Mean Girls" where all the girls are fighting about the book and it's a madhouse? That's the mall on Christmas Eve. Go try and shop in it—it's quite the adrenaline rush.

22. Go ice skating.

23. Go see a new Christmas movie in theaters.

Currently you can go see "The Night Before" or "Krampus".

24. Buy an ugly Christmas sweater.

If you bought one last year, then try to get an uglier one this year.

25. Enjoy the day and share a few laughs with your family.

When It comes down to it, that is what Christmas is all about—family. Even when they drive you absolutely crazy, Christmas is about being thankful for them and reminding them of it.

Just remember: “Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before! What if Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store. What if Christmas... perhaps... means a little bit more!” - Dr. Seuss.

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
