5 Movies That Prove The 2000s Was The Funniest Decade

I think it is safe to say that there are not many movies that have been able to top the 2000s decade. I can't put my finger on what made this decade as funny as it was, but every comedy movie that was made during this time always had me in tears from laughing beginning to end. It could be the actors and actresses that were at their working at their prime or it honestly could just be the plot of the movie that gets me laughing so hard. Whatever it is, it works. And that is why I am making a list of my top favorite comedy movies from the 2000s.

Step Brothers

This movie has me dying of laughter from the very first scene to the very last. The entire cast in this movie was perfect and they all played the perfect role. I think it's very likely that everyone everywhere has seen this movie, and if you haven't, then you just figured out what you're going to watch tonight.

She's The Man

This chick flick is perfect for both girls and boys to watch. Chick flicks nowadays are too girly for everyone to enjoy, but back in the 2000s, everyone enjoyed them. Actors and actresses that we don't see anymore in this decade were at their prime when this movie came out, making it an even better movie to watch.

John Tucker Must Die

This and "She's The Man," are my top two chick flicks ever made. This movie shows what people were brought up to think high school would actually be like, making it even funnier. You got the cheerleaders, the jocks, the nerds that create the storyline for this girly, but very funny movie.

SuperBad

This movie takes place in high school as well, but instead of it constantly being about getting a boy or girl to fall in love with you, these three guys just want to be considered the cool kids. The limits and risks these guys take in order for this to happen are what makes this movie worth you're while.

The Hangover

This was one of the last movies that were considered made in the 2000s and it definitely went out with a bang. All the actors and actresses in this movie were just getting a jump on their careers and are still around now. Four friends went to Las Vegas for their buddy's bachelor party and things got a little out of hand after a few drinks. It's not what happens when they are drunk that is funny, it's what happens the day after that makes this movie as funny as it is.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
