Winter is the perfect time to spend time with friends, family, and significant others. The holidays make everyone a little happier and everything looks festive with sparkling lights and shining garland hung from buildings and trees. Below are some low cost date ideas you may want to try this season.

1. Decorate together.

2. Go ice skating.

3. Drive around and look at Christmas lights and displays.

4. Cut down a live Christmas tree together.

5. Make some hot cocoa and stay in to watch Christmas movies.

6. Hang stockings for each other.

7. Go to a winter craft fair.

8. Cuddle by a warm fireplace.

9. Go on a horse-drawn carriage ride.

10. Take pictures in the snow.

11. Go see a holiday play or musical.

12. Have dinner somewhere new.

13. Book a couple's spa day.

14. Go sledding.

15. Bake some yummy winter treats and decorate them.

16. Attend a hockey match.

17. Have a snowball fight.

18. Hit up the mall.

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?
