Whether you're moving to college for the first time, moving after your last semester, or changing apartments as a seasoned "adult," moving is always at least 10 times worse than you think it's going to be. Dreams of Pinterest-worthy walls are quickly soured by the sheer amount of boxes, which seem to multiply when you're not looking. You're sure what's going to happen now: death by boxes and desperation.

Despite all odds, you make it out alive. However, you likely won't steer clear of some of these 20 thoughts during your moving process:

1. “Oh my gosh, I am so excited to get in this new place!”

2. “Everything on my ‘dream apartment’ Pinterest board is going to go perfectly. I must have it all.”

3. “Wait. Why is my pocket wet? Oh, my wallet’s just crying.”

4. “How many boxes do I need? I probably only need four.”

5. [Neatly packs away knick-knacks] “Man, I am a pro at this.”

6. [Runs out of boxes] “Why do I have so much stuff?”

7. “I swear I didn’t have this much stuff before.”

8. “My stuff must multiply when I’m not looking, which is funny because I don’t own any gerbils.”

9. “Okay, I’m going to be organized. Kitchen items will go in this box. This box is for toiletries.”

10. [One hour later] “Yes, obviously, this box of cereal goes with my sweaters because…reasons.”

11. “Oh my god. Now, I have to carry it all out.”

12. [Carries one box to the car] “Just call me superwoman. My super strength is astounding."

13. [Carries three more boxes] “I…hate…everything.”

14. “How did all of this fit in the car before?”

15. “Whatever, we’ve got three feet of space for exactly a billion boxes. Let’s go.”

16. “Operation Load Car: Completed. I am the queen of moving. Fight me.”

17. “Oh, no, I have to carry it all in again.”

18. “Did I mention that I hate everything?”

19. “Okay, time to unpack.”

20. [Looks at Pinterest board] “You know I think ‘cardboard-box-chic’ is a good look. Let’s go with it.”

The Battle Between College And My Mental Health

College isn't easy, and I'm afraid I'm not going to make it at the rate my mental health is going.

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?
