20 Thoughts You Have During The Internship Search

In college, the summer is a precious three months in which many of us hope to land a good internship, get some work experience and make enough money to support us for the rest of the year. Though this might sound like an easy enough task, the process of finding an internship is miserable, especially as a junior. Just so you know you're not alone, here are some thoughts everyone has during their internship search:

1. I am so qualified.

2. JK, why would anyone ever want to hire me?

3. Maybe I’ll just spend the whole summer traveling.

4. I will die if I don’t get this one internship.

5. There is nothing on my resume.

6. How casual is business casual?

7. Cover letters will be the death of me.

8. I don't think I can talk to another recruiter ever again.

9. What does this company even do?

10. I nailed that interview.

11. I blew that interview.

12. How many emails is too many emails?

13. I will literally work anywhere at this point.

14. Somebody tell me what to do with my life!

15. Should I reformat my resume? Yes I should.

16. What if I don’t sound friendly over the phone?

17. Where is the least weird place on campus to do this Skype interview?

18. This internship is the one I can feel it.

19. Fine! I didn’t want to work for you anyway!

20. Somebody please hire me.

Though the process can be painful, you will reap the benefits of your hard work in the end. You got this!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.
