20 Things You Love About Your Best Friends

First of all, I feel like I have been writing so many articles of my friends that I think people think I’m obsessed with them! I mean I totally am, but in the least creepy way possible. I am just so blessed to have found such amazing friends and not just in college. I mean in my entire life. I have had an amazing support system growing up from my family, to my friends, to even my community and I feel like as the world gets older it’s so hard to show your affections and appreciation without sounding like a creeper. So, I’ve devised a list of 20 things you love about your best friends in the most casual way possible (that specifically pertain to my offs, but everyone can relate to!) because I do love you guys more than life itself, but I don’t want to be committed for admitting it!

  1. They are never afraid to just be themselves. Like seriously they are crazy and totally okay with it, I seriously love it.
  2. Just like me, their facial expressions say it all. Yes, Ana, I am directing this mostly towards you… Katie, you too.
  3. If their faces fail, I can still read them like a book and vice versa. I love the fact that I can just sense when something I wrong with you guys, it makes me happy.
  4. They're kind. So kind. So sweet and so amazing.
  5. They’re loyal. Like even more loyal than Delilah, and that’s saying something!
  6. They are literally so humble. Meaning they are so amazing in every single thing they do, but they never let it get to their head.
  7. They embrace their wackiness and mine, too. Silly faces and random dance parties are a must.
  8. They are not afraid to eat. Kassie I’m talking to you, babe! You’re my foodie sister.
  9. They never think I’m too loud. I mean like I totally am, but honestly they never say that I am. They are totally okay when I scream across campus or burst out in song. AND they only mildly jump when I sneeze now… they’re good best friends.
  10. They know that there’s a time to study and a time to party. I love this. When we have tests or projects we let each other do their thing knowing that we’ll just see each other in a couple hours.
  11. They are all beautiful, but are never snobs about it. Self explanatory.
  12. They are not afraid to admit it when they're wrong and also never afraid to tell me I’m wrong. Thanks for doing this. Seriously I’m wrong a lot, and like, I need to know when I’m wrong.
  13. They can dance like it’s nobody’s business. Even when we are uncoordinated, hot messes, they can dance.
  14. They are savage if someone ever hurts another. They will slap legit anyone who hurts one of us because they are that amazing.
  15. We appreciate each other. We really do. Even if we don’t voice it all the time, I appreciate you guys so darn much.
  16. They smiling through the good times and fight through the bad.
  17. They Never. Give. Up.
  18. They are all crazy talented. And crazy smart. And crazy beautiful. Oh, did I say that one already?
  19. Their love is endless and overwhelming, but in the best way possible. Like I seriously feel suffocated by love sometimes it makes me what to cry tears of utter joy sometimes. Ok this is getting weird never mind.
  20. They are completely different and unique in their own special ways and not to be lame and quote 1D but… “That's what makes you beautiful.”

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
