At 20 years old, some people know what they want to do with their lives and some don't know. Some are already married with kids and some are still struggling with relationships. Life hits all of us with curve balls, but it's important to realize what matters most now and in the future, and what won't matter in a week or a year.

1. Family will always come first.

Above all else, family will always reign. It is very important to keep with those who are important to you because they will be the ones to guide you and set you on the right path. Family will always lend a helping hand and an ear to listen.

2. Happiness is key.

Happiness is essential in life. If things bring you joy, then continue on with what it is that you do because at the end of the day, your happiness is important to your well-being.

3. Go for the ice cream!

If you're having a crappy day or just want to relive those childhood memories, then go buy yourself a tub of your fave ice cream. I promise, there's nothing stopping you!

4. Have your own opinions, but also be mindful of others.

By the time you're 20, you should be able to form and speak your own opinions. Speak your mind and be free! But also be mindful of others and respect what they have to say, even if it isn't something you necessarily agree on.

5. All relationships are important.

Family, friends, partners/spouses... all of these relationships should be of importance to you. Always cherish the memories you create with each other because you will be able to hold onto those for a lifetime.

6. Focus on your goals, hopes, and dreams.

If you wanna be a neurosurgeon or an astronaut or a teacher or a policeman, then go for it. Nothing is stopping you, Follow YOUR dreams, not the ones people have set for you.

7. Forget the drama of yesterday.

It's heartbreaking knowing someone has betrayed you or let you down, but don't let it dull your sunshine. Pick yourself up and carry on, you can do it.

8. Always make time for your friends.

Friendships will carry you through the journey of life. Even if you're busy with work or slammed with homework, make time for your friends. They will help carry you through life and will always be there when you need a shoulder to lean on.

9. Be mindful of your body.

Take care of your skin, eat fruits and veggies, and run a bit.

10. Take lots of pictures.

Always take pictures! Candids are the best and looking back at them will make any gloomy day a lil brighter.

11. Be spontaneous.

Explore new places, do things that scare you, embrace the unknown. Life is too short to be boring!

12. Take random road trips.

Visit new cities and countries, jam out to your top hits in the car, and go with your fave people!

13. Don't always expect things to turn out the way you want them to.

Things won't always end up like you expected them to be, but that's okay. Learn from your mistakes and dust yourself off. Don't stress over the little things.

14. It's okay to not be okay.

You don't always have to be okay. Sometimes, you just need time to cry and let it all out. No one will judge you because everyone has hit this point sometime in their life.

15. Follow your heart.

Always follow your heart. You're the only one who knows what's good for you and what makes you happy.

16. Always call/talk and visit your parents.

Your mom will love the fact that you called to talk to her about your day for hours and your dad will love it that you came to visit him for your birthday. Relationships with our parents are bonds that can never be broken; they're like no other.

17. Stay in, put on your comfy pj pants, and binge the show on Netflix you've been wanting to see instead of going out.

Everyone has a favorite pair of comfy pj pants they could live in for days. Grab some popcorn, a big, fuzzy blanket, and swoon over your favorite character. These will be some of the best nights of your life.

18. Have fun!

But, if all you've done for 5 days in a row is binge a new tv show, take a night for yourself and go out with your friends! Have fun and live a little,

19. Be yourself.

Always be the best version of you, not what everyone else wants you to be.

20. Live YOUR life to the fullest!

At the end of the day, how you live and what you do depends on YOU, no one else. Have fun and do whatever it is that makes you happy!

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

Being pre-med is quite a journey. It’s not easy juggling school work, extracurricular activities, volunteering, shadowing, research, and MCAT prep all at the same time. High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.

One Book Made Me Question Existence In Its Entirety

"The Stranger" by Albert Campus touches upon many heavy elements... but not in the way you expect. Although it touches upon the aspects of death and love, it also deals with a hidden philosophy similar to that of nihilism.

The story follows the short life events of Meursault, a Frenchman whose carelessness for his actions eventually ends him in jail and dependent on a jury of people to judge the ethicality of his decision and the punishment that he deserves. He eventually gets the death penalty and all throughout he is nonchalant and almost apathetic towards his situation. He finally snaps when the prison sends a priest to him to absolve him of his sins and to cajole him in confessing to the lord.
