I know I know, I wrote about this last week... But I just can't help talking about it.

Working as an intern, especially for a company that is expanding as fast as people in New York City walk, can be hectic. There is always somewhere that you need to be, someone that needs your help and each person you meet is just as awesome as the last.

Being an adult is very hard, especially when you're in that awkward in between phase when you're working but you haven't graduated college yet. Internships are great because they show you a glimpse of what real life adult-ing will be like.

As stressful as the #internlife can be, there are 20 things that you know to be true, that also reinforce your love for the job. And these 20 things are even more true, if you have the privilege of working for Odyssey...a.k.a the best place to work. No, but really we have won awards, look it up.

1. Freedom of fashion is a plus.

Having the ability to wear a dress and heels one day, and a graphic tee with jeans the next day is an added bonus. Dressed up or down, you're rockin' your own style either way.

2. You have started typing on your computer like this...

3. The word "dope" is becoming a crucial part of your vocabulary.

4. Work hard, play hard is a way of life.

Sure we all like to laugh and have fun, but business means business.

5. You have brought an entirely new meaning to the word trolling.

Only the few, will know what I mean... #psychooutreachforever

6. Arriving at 6 a.m. for fear of missing something important.

7. You get to be around smart, awesome and again dope peeps all day.

8. WeWork offices are unlike any other office space.

Cubicles? No thank you.

9. Getting upset when the fruity water isn't put out that day.

10. Being afraid to take a 10 minute lunch break for fear of missing yet another important event.

11. But also having to take a 10 minute sanity break so that you don't lose your mind.

12. Making a To-Do List for all of your To-Do Lists.

Major key.

13. Learning that the art of email is in fact dead.

Face-to-face IS always best.

14. Having five back-to-back five minute long meetings.

15. Constantly checking the group chat to see what's up.

16. Drinking eight cups of coffee before noon.

17. Having someone come to you, and closing your laptop because you're working too much.

18. Having a view that is second to none.

19. Becoming so comfortable with Google calendars, G-chats and the entire Google system that you could probably design it yourself.

But really...

20. Having to constantly remind yourself that this is real life, and as dope as you think you are, your company is 10 times cooler than you.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
