I don't know about you, but this week was the most stressful week of my semester so far. With midterms coming up, deadlines for projects and the ever looming question of "what am I doing this summer," I was feeling particularly whiny this week.

In the midst of all of this whining (most of which was to my boyfriend, the real MVP), I had a mandatory event at the house which, of course, cut into my precious time because I had so much to do.

I showed up to the house with a begrudging heart but left with a new perspective. My sorority, Tri-Delta, supports the philanthropy of St. Jude. On Wednesday night, we gathered in the formal to listen to our St. Jude rep talk about all of the goals we've accomplished and where our money really goes to. It's eye-opening and heartwarming to hear the stories of the patients and how our fundraising truly makes an impact.

With a new perspective, I wrote this list. Sometimes it's hard, but you can always find something to smile about.

1. Restaurants that deliver until 2 a.m.

Shout out to Insomnia.

2. Face-masks from LUSH

I'll take a Catastrophe Cosmetic please.

3. Mint chocolate chip ice cream

The green kind, no white ice cream here.

4. That I can call my mom at any time of the day

"If something says it's a week expired, will I die if I eat it?"

5. Happy hour at Sonic

2 p.m. to 5 p.m. is my favorite time of the day.

6. Fresh clothes out of the dryer

7. McPick 2

Now I don't have to pick between a McDouble and a McChicken!

8. That Snape was always a good guy

Always.

9. That Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher are married and have a baby

Jackie and Kelso lived happily ever after.

10. John Mayer circa early 2000s

Your body is a wonderland.

11. 40 percent off one item at Hobby Lobby

Bringing joy to sorority girls everywhere.

12. GPS

The direction-challenged around the world thank you.

13. Childhood friends

Thank you for loving me when I was weirder than I am now.

14. College friends

Thanks for a lot of bad decisions and loving me anyways.

15. My Big

Thank you for all of the crafts and advice and for being my mom when she's too far.

16. Lazy Sundays

No explanation needed.

17. Netflix

The best $9 I spend every month.

18. Tri-Delta

I am so blessed to be surrounded by such amazing people every day.

19. Ellen DeGeneres

Your videos either make me cry because they are so funny or because they are so inspirational.

20. My family

Thank you for supporting and loving me every day.

And always remember: it's not a bad life; it's just a bad day.

And if that doesn't help, here's a picture of Kim's crying face

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help. When you're in college you become super close with so many people it's hard to think that you won't see many of them for three months. But, then you get that text saying, "Hey, clear your schedule next weekend, I'm coming up" and you begin to flip out. Here are the emotions you go through as your best friend makes her trip to your house.

Syllabus Week As Told By Kourtney Kardashian

Feeling Lost During Syllabus Week? You're Not Alone!

Kourtney Kardashian

Winter break is over, we're all back at our respective colleges, and the first week of classes is underway. This is a little bit how that week tends to go.

The professor starts to go over something more than the syllabus

You get homework assigned on the first day of class

There are multiple group projects on the syllabus

You learn attendance is mandatory and will be taken every class

Professor starts chatting about their personal life and what inspired them to teach this class

Participation is mandatory and you have to play "icebreaker games"

Everybody is going out because its 'syllabus week' but you're laying in bed watching Grey's Anatomy

Looking outside anytime past 8 PM every night of this week

Nobody actually has any idea what's happening this entire week

Syllabus week is over and you realize you actually have to try now...or not

Now it's time to get back into the REAL swing of things. Second semester is really here and we all have to deal with it.

panera bread

Whether you specialized in ringing people up or preparing the food, if you worked at Panera Bread it holds a special place in your heart. Here are some signs that you worked at Panera in high school.

1. You own so many pairs of khaki pants you don’t even know what to do with them

Definitely the worst part about working at Panera was the uniform and having someone cute come in. Please don’t look at me in my hat.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.
