A new school year is quickly approaching, which means it's time to start checking things off of your summer bucket list before the new school year begins. If you're like me, sometimes picking a fun activity to do during your down time can be a bit of a struggle, so here are some ideas to make the most of your summer days:
1. Put your cooking skills to the test by making something you've never made before. Check Pinterest for new recipes to try!
2. Go antiquing with friends at your local thrift stores, antique shops, or flea markets.
3. Have a spa day. Treat yourself to a mani/pedi, a long bath, and a fresh face mask.
4. Invite your friends to try new restaurants together.
5. Get dressed up and spend the day outside having a photo shoot.
6. Visit a used bookstore and pick out a few classics to read.
7. Host a pajama party at your place, complete with a movie and plenty of snacks.
8. Make a picnic to take to the park.
9. Send your friends some snail mail and jazz them up with your own doodles or designs.
10. Clean out your closet and either donate items to charity or sell them online.
11. After you have completed number 10, go boutique hopping to find new clothes or accessories to spruce up your wardrobe.
12. Go to a coffee shop and write down all of your thoughts and ideas in a journal.
13. Try out different exercise classes such as barre, zumba, yoga, pilates, or spin classes.
14. Find a new TV series on Netflix to watch (I highly recommend "Stranger Things").
15. Buy succulents or flowers to make your own floral arrangements or succulent gardens.
16. Visit museums in your area.
17. Host a brunch or a barbecue at your place complete with board games or classic outdoor games such as cornhole.
18. Test out new makeup and hair tutorials you have found on YouTube or blogs.
19. Take up a new hobby such as knitting, running, cooking, sailing, hiking, or painting.
20. Have a DIY day and find fun crafts to make. Check Pinterest for craft ideas as well!
