20 More Things To Thank Your Boyfriend For

In October, I wrote an article titled " 22 Things To Thank Your Boyfriend For." While I know we all did a much better job of thanking our significant others then, you can't ever thank them too much! Just in time for Valentine's Day in a few weeks (hint hint), here are 20 other things you should thank your boyfriend for.

Thank You For...

1. Supporting my decisions (like a new diet or workout routine).

Gluten Free, low carb diet? Sounds perfect!

2. Supporting me (mostly) when I break said diet or workout routine.

Maybe just one cheeseburger ... and fries.

3. Watching 'The Bachelor' with me.

Isn't Ben just the best?

4. Acknowledging the effort I put in when I dress up (i.e. wearing jeans instead of leggings with my sweatshirt).

It's definitely an XL kind of day.

5. Cuddling with me even though your arm's asleep, you're so hot you're sweating, and have a face full of hair.

Sorry!

6. (Sometimes) putting down the video games to talk to me.

Please pay attention to me! (And I mean full attention, Brian and AJ can wait).

7. Always letting me control the music in the car.

Country or Beyonce?

8. And not getting angry when I do a really bad job co-piloting!

I told you to turn left like a mile ago!

9. Acting like you care when I ask for mundane advice.

Should I get my nails done today or tomorrow? Do you like the purple or the pink better?

10. Putting up with me when I'm being a little bit needy.

Don't you just love me?

11. Picking up the phone even when you would rather be doing anything but.

It'll be really quick I promise I just HAVE to tell you something!

12. Embracing minimal PDA even though I know you hate it.

Hold my hand please!

13. Listening to my uncalled for whining most of the day.

She looked at me. I can't.

14. Accepting that HGTV is not to be changed on the TV no matter what else is on.

"Property Brothers" marathon? Yes.

15. Telling me how it really is.

I know I have this paper but like I'm so tired.

16. Accepting when I just need a girls night.

"Grey's" marathon, anyone?

17. Always trying to make me happy.

A text, a call, a compliment — the little things go a long way!

18. Already planning an AMAZING Valentine's Day (Hint)!

Chocolates, puppies, flowers, and pizza, please!

19. Always putting me first even though you have a million things going on.

I do appreciate when you walk away from the Xbox, I promise!

20. Still being everything I could ever hope for and more!

Love you lots!

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
