I'm turning 20 soon and it's a huge difference between being 19, at least in my opinion. There's a lot to learn from birth to the beginning of your 20s. I hope to learn even more when I go on to live the rest of my life.

1. How to walk

2. How to read

3. How to talk

4. How to tell someone to stop when I don't like something

5. How to ride a bike (even if it did take me 14 years)

6. How to drive (I got my license when I was 17, not 16 like most people)

7. How to play piano (even though I don't anymore)

8. What it's like to live alone with roommates I haven't known prior

9. How to manage my time among all aspects in my life

10. How getting a bad grade isn't the end of the world

11. How to lose weight (and keep most of it off)

12. How to love myself every step of my self confidence journey

13. How to fall in love

14. How to apply for college

15. Writing poetry is hard (so is writing in general)

16. The fact that not everyone will be my friend (and that's okay!)

17. How to drive three hours away from home.

18. How to cope when things don't go how I expect them to

19. The fact that self care is vital to living a happy and healthy life.

20. How to pick a major...

And this is when I announce that at the end of this semester, I am going to be declaring Psychology as a major with a minor in Sociology (I don't know about that half though).

Overall, I have learned a lot in my life and I hope to find out more about myself, as well as the world around me.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
