You've most likely grown up in this town and can't leave your house without running into someone you know. But hey, it's still home.

1.You’ve known your graduating class since you were in preschool.

Because you all went to the same preschool. It’s also likely that you’ve known your best friend since you both came out of the womb.

2. The list of things to do for fun in this town is pretty much nonexistent.

There used to be a roller-skating rink until the school district bought it, so again, there is nothing fun to do.

3. Hungry?

How about one of the seven pizza shops in town?

4. Want to go shopping?


The nearest major mall is definitely more than 30 minutes away.

5. Want to go hang out with friends late and grab a bite to eat?


The diner is the place to be.

6. When people hear that you live outside of Philadelphia they think city.

The reality is farm area.

7. Every high school kid has most likely gone to New York on a class trip, on multiple occasions.


8. Friday football games are the place to be.


Especially because there's Chick Fil A there and that is usually a 20-minute drive.

9. Not only do your friends know your parents well, they probably know your relatives like your grandmother, aunt, and uncle really well too.


10. Getting your license was a big deal.


Most of us probably got our license in Dublin.

11. Pretty much every kid grew up going to watch the Halloween parade.

12. Once you got to high school, Homecoming and Prom were taken very seriously.

13. Walmart was a 15-minute drive or more when we were in Elementary School.

Then one day, it magically appeared.

14. Route 663 is the lifeblood of the town and is the major route to leave the town.

15. Secret Spot used to be the place to be in the summer for ice cream but then it had to close down.

Like everything else fun in life. SERIOUSLY. THERE IS NOTHING TO DO IN THIS TOWN.

16. You could always count on the Grand Theatre for a great movie and popcorn all for under $10.

17. Most of the school can be found on Wing Night at The Wingman.


18. Tosco's has amazing pizza and it was always great when there was Tosco's pizza for lunch at school.


19. Green Lane is a hub for many different activities.

Just DON’T SWIM IN THE WATER.

20. The bridge to Green Lane park will most likely be closed forever.

College is super hard. Between working, studying, and having a social life, it feels like a struggle to just keep afloat.

I understand. When you feel like your drowning and there's no way to stay afloat I understand that it feels like everyone else is doing just fine. I understand all the frustration, long nights in the library, and that feeling that you want to just throw in the towel. I understand that sometimes it's too hard to get out of bed because your brain is already filled with too much information to remember. I understand because I am also feeling pretty burnt out.

No Matter How Challenging School Gets, You Have To Put Your Health First — A Degree Won't Mean Anything If You're Dead

Some of the best advice I've ever received was from my social studies teacher in sophomore year of high school. He stated, "If you don't know it at midnight, you're not going to know it for the 8 a.m. exam, so get some sleep."

It's such a simple piece of advice, but it holds so much accuracy and it's something that the majority of college students need to hear and listen to. "All-nighters" are a commonality on college campuses in order to cram in studying for an exam that is typically the next day.

20. Enjoy it, because you will be sad when it is all over.
