1. You've spent a good chunk of your life explaining what state your hometown is in.

I'm from Kansas City, Missouri. There is also a Kansas City, Kansas but it isn't nearly as nice as KCMO. Just trust me on this one.

2. You laugh when other cities try to say they have the best barbecue.

No one ever stands a chance against Arthur Bryant's, Gates, L.C.'s, Jack Stack, or Joe's. You don't have burnt ends? Then it ain't real barbecue.

3. The highlight of your childhood was going on a field trip to the Deanna Rose farmstead.

Memories include bottle feeding baby goats, milking a cow, and taking a horse drawn wagon ride through the woods.

4. You spent every weekend at WOF/OOF (World's of Fun/Ocean's of Fun) during your middle school years.

Your Christmas list always included a Gold Pass.

5. Your FOMO (fear of missing out) is at an all-time high whenever there's a watch party at Power & Light and you're not there.

Your eyes are welling up just thinking about it.

6. One of these logos makes you really happy and at least one of these makes you really not happy.

The Three Enemigos.

7. Grinders is the best pizza joint in town.

The crust is like crack, the atmosphere is edgy, and the stage out back is a great place to hear live local music! STRETCH (the owner) and the rest of the Grinders crew are some of the most friendly people you'll ever meet.

8. Science City was the coolest place ever.

Am I too big to still ride the sky bike??

9. Town Topic tater tots are life.

Enough said.

10. You hear Wizard of Oz jokes every time you go out of town.

Somewhere over the rainbow... people will stop asking us about Dorothy and Toto.

11. Going to "The Lake" can only mean one thing.

Lake of the Ozarks, duh. Don't forget your sunscreen!

12. You're 99% positive the final phrase of the national anthem is "And the home of the CHIEFS!"

You yell it every time, regardless of if you're in KC.

13. You have an unhealthy obsession with Tech N9ne.

No one outside of KC seems to know who I'm talking about when I refer to Tech N9ne and that's just sad.

14. The best summer nights are spent at the K.

LET'S GO ROYALS *clap* *clap* *clapclapclap*

15. You're not exactly sure what Bonner Springs' outdoor venue will be called this year, but that won't stop you from attending concerts durning the summer.

Especially when you can score $10 lawn tickets!

16. You get excited when the sky turns green.

There's a tornado coming! Everyone go outside to watch!

17. You go to The Plaza every winter just to see the lights.

They look the same every year, but you go anyway.

18. You go to Stroud's whenever you're craving fried chicken.

You can never go wrong with a homestyle meal at Stroud's. Pan fried chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, potato fries, green beans, chicken noodle soup, and cinnamon rolls for dessert. What more could you ask for!?

19. The best view of the city is at the WWI Museum.

It's been a backdrop for numerous homecoming pictures, prom pictures, and senior pictures.

20. You're proud to be from the greatest city on Earth.

There's no place like home!

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
