20 Things That Happen When You're A Picky Eater

My pediatrician told me to try one new food every week. Needless to say, that never happened.

20 Things That Happen When You're A Picky Eater

1. As a picky eater, you love food — just not a wide variety of food.

2. Eating a PB&J sandwich for lunch every day isn’t weird, and it never gets old.

3. For dinner, you only ever consider eating chicken fingers, pizza or pasta.

4. And even when eating your favorite meal, you would line the sides of your plate with unwanted vegetable add-ins.

5. When you are ever forced to eat a food that is not to your liking, condiments are your best friend.

6. You always ask for your burger or sandwich with just the essential meats and cheeses, and slather that in ketchup or mustard as well.

7. Diners and American-style restaurants are your favorites. The more fried food, the better.

8. When you tell the waitress that you don't want the soup or salad with your meal, she always gives you a blank stare like it's something she’s never heard before.

9. And because of your unhealthy, yet satisfactory, eating habits, you have to rely on working out to lose weight because you know that eating healthy won’t happen.

10. It’s a well-known fact in your family and friend group that you will not go to a restaurant that serves foreign cuisine.

11. And going abroad only scares you because you worry about all of the weird food you will have to eat.

12. Very often, to avoid hurting anyone’s feelings after they cooked that mysterious-looking casserole, you say you're allergic to the meal as an excuse.

13. When a food that you dislike is being cooked, you cringe and have to leave the room immediately.

14. But when you’re a guest and must eat what they cook, you always have to try to hide your strong hatred of the food.

15. At least once as a kid (or maybe still now) you have spit up a new food that you didn’t like.

16. To get you to eat more, your parents always implemented the “no dessert if you don’t finish your dinner” threat.

17. As an apology for not finishing your meal, you promised to eat what your mom cooked next, but backed out at the last minute because it didn’t look appetizing.

18. As a result of your pickiness, your family gets very annoyed with you.

19. And you get annoyed with yourself because you won't try or enjoy the food that everyone else loves.

20. But no matter how much you hate trying new things and are happy with your eating lifestyle as it is, when you finally like something new it’s a huge accomplishment.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.
