Summer vacation: a bitter sweet time to be away from school, but also missing that "college freedom," late nights, and 3 A.M. unholy pizza orders. As we approach the middle of summer, the feels hit hard about going back to school, and you finally come to the realization and admit to yourself:

"Wow, I really miss BSU."

Not really sure what you are missing about the lovely Bridgewater State University? Here are 11 things that might jog your memory and will make you remember exactly why you miss your second home at BSU.

1. 1:35 A.M. Chessmen's Pizza Orders

"Hi, I will have an unholy amount of pizza, and a side of french fries, thank you."

2. Bogarts

You have a love-hate relationship with Bogarts. You love the walk there, and loveeee the walk back even more...maybe. Is it lit?

3. Bridgewater Bagel

Did you hear they are extending their hours during the week days? YEEESSSSSSSS

4. WEPA Printing

HAHA honestly, I am just kidding. "Easy, Convenient, Reliable-- YEAH RIGHT."

5. F.R.I.E.N.D.S.

The TV show and the real thing. You miss your friends terribly and would do anything to hangout with them A.S.A.P.

6. Crimson Smoothies

Heaven is only one dining hall away.

7. The Sodexo Workers

Always there, rain or shine, smiling and hoping you have an excellent day!

8. Alfredo Bread Bowls from Crimson

Have you ever been blessed by having one of these? Another reason why Crimson takes the #1 spot for top dining hall.

9. Transit

The bus drivers are so friendly and will make that 15 minute walk across campus in the rain into a short and dry 4 minute bus drive, making your outfit for that public speaking final stay nice and neat.

10. The Freedom

No curfew. No guidelines (somewhat). Pure freedom to do whatever you want whenever you want with little to no judgement. Ahh, sweet freedom.

11. Program Council

When is the next duck day honestly. I can not wait for all of the events that Program Council puts on this year!!! P.C.!!!! (BINGO!!!!!!)

12. RHA: Residence Hall Association

Literally a place where any student can go and allocate money for their residence hall. Also a great place to hang out with all of the students that love BSU!!

13. The parking situation

Only kidding again... let the parking games begin, and may the odds be ever in your favor!

14. The meatball subs in Bears Den

Apparently there is nothing better than walking into Bears Den on a weekend and grabbing a meatball sub for lunch!

15. Snow Days

Although I could go without that phone call, text, and email all at the same time, there is nothing more #blessed than a snow day. No class, and you do not need to make it up!

16. All of the organizations at BSU

THERE ARE SO MANY, IT IS OVERWHELMING!!!!

17. The Pasta Station

Oh oh oh, the pasta-bilities !!

18. Imperial Kitchen

Is there anything better than that holy student special deal? No.

19. Exploring new places at BSU everyday

I feel as though every time I come back to campus I discover something new...yes?

20. Feeling Blessed

Seeing The Man, The Myth, The Legend President Fred Clark on campus!!!

A lot of this involves food in one way or another, but WE ARE COLLEGE STUDENTS. WE LIKE FOOD.

We only have a little over a month until move in day, we can do it!!!! Hope you enjoy the rest of your summer and I will see all of you very soon back at BSU!!

Go Bears!!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
