20 Things Basic Girls Take a Picture Of In The Fall

The first day of fall is Wednesday, Sept. 23. I'm sure a lot of you are just as excited as I am about this lovely season. It's the time of year when the weather starts to cool down. This season not only means football games but seeing the best pictures of everyone's love for fall. Yes, it's okay to admit it because we are all guilty of doing this. Here are 20 things you will be caught taking pictures of this fall:

1. Take a picture posing with pumpkins at the pumpkin patch.

I love going to the pumpkin patch with my family and picking out the pumpkins we are going to carve.

2. Take a picture of your hay ride.

The Covenant United Methodist Church, here in Lafayette, has one of the best pumpkin patches and hay rides.

3. Take a picture of you running through a corn maze.

4. Take a picture of your carved pumpkin…might go for the Snapchat selfie this year.

Carving pumpkins can be very messy but so fun! With the new Snapchat update, of the Lenses, you can take a scary selfie with your scary carved pumpkin!

5. Take a picture of your pumpkin spice latte from Starbucks.

I prefer the Salted Caramel Mocha Frappuccino from Starbucks!

6. Take a picture of you jumping in a pile of leaves.

I mean what other season are you going to be able to do this?

7. Take a picture of your new fall scented candle from Bath&Body Works: Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin, Pumpkin Apple, Pumpkin Cupcake, Caramel Pumpkin Swirl, etc.

I'm obsessed with candles and very guilty of buying all the seasonal smells because who doesn't want there room smelling like a delicious fall treat?!

8. Take a picture of your baked treat…pumpkin pie.

Baking can be good for the soul and very good for the stomach of course. So get on Pinterest and bake like you're Betty Crocker this fall.

9. Take a picture of your tasty roasted pumpkin seeds.

10. Take a picture of your caramel apple.

11. Take a picture bobbing for apples.

12. Take a picture of your candy corn.

Or candy corn in white chocolate soft bake cookies!

13. Take a picture roasting marshmallows or your s’mores.

14. Take a picture of the camp fire.

15. Take a picture of the scariest thing in the
haunted house.

16. Take a picture of your cozy scarves, boots and
leggings.

17. Take a picture of your Halloween costume.

18. Take a picture of your Thanksgiving meal.

My favorite side is the green bean casserole!

19. Take a picture of you shopping on black Friday.

20. Take a picture of you watching the "13 Nights of Halloween" on ABC family.

It will be the 17th year playing and you can watch it this Oct. 19th-31st!

Pictures are worth a thousand words, right? So don't feel ashamed when you're being a basic girl snapping pictures of the things you'll be doing this fall! I can't wait to see all the wonderful pictures on social media!

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
