20 Things All Night Owls Know To Be True

Basically, there are two kinds of people in this world: Morning people and night owls. Whichever one you are, you probably cannot fathom what is wrong with the other. As a self-proclaimed night owl, I don’t get morning people at all (sorry I like to sleep in?). Here are a few points I think all of my fellow night owls can relate to.

1. You have stayed up until 5 a.m.

2. You’d rather stay up until 5 a.m. than wake up at 5 a.m. any day.

3. You’ve slept in until 2 p.m.

4. Your non-night owl friends judge you for wanting to sleep in well into the day.

5. Nothing is open in the early morning, so you don’t see the point of being out of bed then.

6. You are proud of yourself when you are out of bed and functioning before 10 a.m.

7. If you have ever taken an 8 a.m. class, you were almost certain you would die just by virtue of needing to wake up so early.

8. So you avoid 8 a.m. classes like the plague.

9. When you do have to get up early, you have to set about 10 alarms all for 5 minutes apart so you actually get up.

10. Your roommates probably hate you because the snooze button is your best friend.

11. You frequently get bored at night because no one is awake to text and paid programming is the only thing on TV.

12. But even though you are bored, you’re wide awake.

13. In elementary school, you’d always be the last one to be asleep at a sleep over.

14. Your most productive hours are between 7 p.m. and 3 a.m.

15. You get mad at your friends when they want to end a night out early because they’re tired.

16. Noon football games are your worst nightmare.

17. You don’t understand how people can start their day drinking at 10 a.m. because you don’t wake up until noon.

18. You have to set an alarm for an appointment you have in the afternoon so you don’t sleep through it.

19. You get personally offended when people equate night owl habits to laziness.

20. You love being a night owl and will never be so ridiculous as to want to be awake before the sun comes up.

If I have learned one thing in my lifetime, it is that friends are a privilege. No one is required to give you their company and yet there is some sort of shared connection that keeps you together. And from that friendship, you may even find yourself lucky enough to have a few more friends, thus forming a group. Here are just a few signs that prove your current friend group is the ultimate friend group.

When it comes to television, there’s very few sets of on-screen siblings that a lot of us can relate to. Only those who have grown up with siblings knows what it feels like to fight, prank, and love a sibling. Ross and Monica Geller were definitely overbearing and overshared some things through the series of "Friends," but they captured perfectly what real siblings feel in real life. Some of their antics were funny, some were a little weird but all of them are completely relatable to brothers and sisters everywhere.

College is a great place to meet people, especially through Greek life. If you look closely at sororities, you'll quickly see there are many different types of girls you will meet.

1. The Legacy.

Her sister was a member, her mom was a member, all of her aunts were members, and her grandma was a member. She has been waiting her whole life to wear these letters and cried hysterically on bid day. Although she can act entitled at times, you can bet she is one of the most enthusiastic sisters.

Every kid in college and/or high school dreams of summer the moment they walk through the door on the first day back in September. It becomes harder and harder to focus in classes and while doing assignments as the days get closer. The winter has been lagging, the days are short and dark, and no one is quite themselves due to lack of energy and sunlight. Let's face it: life is ten times better in the summertime.
