Although many college students dream of having easy access to their car on campus, it can be a blessing and a curse if you are a commuter student. Sometimes it seems like you have the best of both worlds; you get to experience going to a fantastic school, and then return to the comfort of your own home. However, everyday commuter students have their patience tested by these 20 inconveniences.

1. Traffic

2.Having to explain why you have so many books piled in your car.

3. Lugging around a 50lb bag instead of making frequent trips to your car.

4. Taking any spot in the overflowed parking lot that you can.

5. Waking up at least two hours before your first class.

6. Checking the traffic before you leave.

7. Forgetting to check the traffic before you leave.

8. Not having a place to nap.

9. Doing everything in your power to avoid taking eight AM classes.

10. Packing all your food because the commuter meal plans are ridiculously overpriced.

11. Finding a quiet place to study.

12. Planning everything you do around traffic.

13. Oversleeping.

14. Forgetting an assignment or book at home.

15. Driving all the way to school only to find out your professor canceled class.

16. Worrying about Mother Nature working against you.

17. Dishing out a ton of money on gas.

18. Getting home way past your bedtime.

19. Missing out on on-campus events.

20. Wasting time commuting when you could be studying.

birthday party

My birthday has never been my favorite holiday. I've found that I'm more excited to celebrate my friends' and family members' birthdays more than my own. I don't like being the center of attention, so I usually celebrate over dinner with a small group of family and friends. This way, I can enjoy myself naturally without feeling like I have to entertain everyone and make sure they are satisfied. In the past when I've had large parties, I was so nervous that people weren't perfectly content that I didn't enjoy myself at my own celebration.

I'm serious

There are tons of unisex names that are popular: Taylor, Alex, Bailey, etc. There are also numerous names that are used for both sexes, but they’re not seen as “unisex” yet. People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.
