20 Struggles Of Being A College Student

College is labeled as the best time of your life by almost every adult in existence. So far, I agree with them. But there are also endless "struggles" we as students must overcome to reach our goals. Whether it's trying to figure out how to write a check because all high school ever taught you was the Pythagorean theorem or discovering how really out of shape you are when you try to take on the steepest hills on campus. The transition to college is difficult and often makes us question its own existence.

1. Having roughly $3 to your name -- maybe even in quarters.

2. Having to make life decisions without mom.

3. Studying hours for exams just to fail.

4. Questioning whether the pain is worth it.

5. The freshman 15 actually exists.

6. Going endless days without seeing a dog.

7. Eating food from the cafeteria is a whole new experience.

8. Apparently we used to do this thing called sleeping!

9. Dealing with subarctic temperatures.

10. There are days when you actually have to look presentable.

11. The library is your second home.

12. Stressing to the point where you pull your hair out -- literally.

13. Forgetting your online deadline three minutes before it’s due.

14. When people sit in your unassigned seat.

15. Trying to memorize impossible material.

16. You're expected to stay awake after a night out.

17. Getting money from the FASFA.

18. Trying to comprehend college level math is impossible -- or any subject.

19. Just wanting to give up, entirely!

20. But, hey, it’s the best part of our lives -- so get out there and keeping doing your thing!

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
