20 Songs You Should Add To Your Road Trip Playlist

As a lover of both music and driving, I never drive without music playing. If you don't listen to music while driving, you're doing it wrong. For a road trip, whether it be an hour, or five hours, a playlist is a necessity. If you add any of these songs to your road trip playlist, trust me, you won't regret it.

1. Fumes- Eden

Best for everyday driving, and of course for road trips. When the beat drops, its almost infectious.

2. Fantasy- Alina Baraz

My go to song if I'm traveling to the beach. Looking for a more upbeat version? Check out The Felix Jaehn Remix.

Favorite lyric: So you say you wanna get away, We don't need a plane.

3. Cigarette Daydreams

One of my all time favorites.

Favorite lyric: You can drive all night, Looking for answers in the pouring rain.

4. Pink Skies- LANY

This song was made for road trips.

Favorite lyric: Get ya under pink skies, I know exactly where we should go.

5. Alive- Empire of the Sun

Roll your windows down, turn this song on. There's no doubt you'll feel alive.

Favorite lyric: Loving every minute cause you make me feel so alive.

6. Drive- Halsey

I had to include this one, and not just because of the pun.

Favorite lyric: All we do is drive, All we do is think about the feelings that we hide.

7. Life Itself- Glass Animals

Great band, great song.

8. Robbers- The 1975

As one of all time favorite bands, I had to include The 1975 in this list. This song gives off the perfect summer, road trip vibe.

Favorite lyric: I'll give you one more time, We'll give you one more fight.

9. Warm Thoughts- Flume

I first listened to this song while driving, and there's no going back.

10. Cherry Hill- Russ

A beat that is perfect for driving with the top down.

11. Spirits- The Strumbellas

I been looking at the stars tonight, And I think oh, how I miss that bright sun.

12. Midnight City- M83

A recent discovery of mine, but an all-around great song to listen to while driving. If you've never heard of it, you probably recognize its beat.

13. Green Light- Lorde

That's right, I wasn't stopping at one pun.

Favorite lyric: I'm waiting for it, that green light, I want it.

14. Chasing Colors- Marshmello

An upbeat, EDM song perfect for a summer drive.

Favorite lyric: We're dreaming on and on, we're dreaming on and on, We got the windows down, we got the windows down.

15. First Time- Kygo

Another great upbeat song for a drive.

Favorite lyric: Speeding for the finish line, Come until the end of our time, yeah.

16. Look Alive- Rae Sremmurd

Definitely a different vibe than the songs above, but still a necessity for a long drive.

Favorite lyric: Kill this cup, not my vibe.

17. Malibu- Miley Cyrus

A slower-paced song perfect to sing along to on your next road trip.

Favorite lyric: But here I am, next to you ,The sky's more blue in Malibu.

18. Riptide- Vance Joy

Because something about this song makes me want to go on a drive.

19. Paris- The Chainsmokers

Of course I had to include a song by The Chainsmokers. All of their songs make for a fun drive, but this one has got to be my favorite.

20. Can't Feel My Face- The Weeknd (Martin Garrix Remix)

Such a fun, pump up remix that will make you want to dance in your seat.

Now that it seems “talking” is the new way to date, and will stay that way until another idiotic term is used to describe the people who can’t settle down and just date someone, I feel as if it’s time to go over the unwritten rules of “talking.”

Rule 1. Having feeling without feeling.

What's up Asshat,

I've composed a list of things that I wish upon you, and they're harsh and cruel. These things are things that I wouldn't wish upon my worst of enemies, not even that Starbuck's barista who always screws up my order, not even him. You fall into a whole other category of hate. You surpass Starbucks barista. Congratulations, I'm actually a pretty nice person, making you worthy of every single bit of torture I wish upon you. What are these things I wish upon you you might ask?
