Well, it's that time of year again -- Valentines Day. This pink-filled day of love brings lovers closer, keeps flower shops busy as hell, and is the day when an absurd number when R. Kelly songs are played.

For couples, this day is filled with each others company and the expectation to be lovey-dovey, without looking too sappy.

For those who are single, however, Valentines Day is one of two things. It is either a day you dread, or one you hardly even notice.

Either way, here are 20 suggestions as to what you can do as a person who is alone on Valentines Day. From those who are single and dread this day to the people with loved ones far away, this list is for you.

1. Sleep the whole day to forget and ignore the happy couples.

2. Have yourself a "me day" where you do whatever you want and treat yourself.

3. Buy a bunch of flowers and send them to yourself so it looks like someone really cares about you.

4. Play every sad love song (example: every Adele song) and remember your lost love.

We all have that one song that just gets us right in the feels.

5. Drink, but try to avoid number six.

6. Resist the urge to call your ex and tell them how much you love them.

We've all been there and know the temptation.

7. Host an "I Hate Valentine's Day" dinner.

8. Once you're done sobbing -- and realize that all these previous suggestions were horrible -- spend Valentine's Day with your friends.

Just because you're all single doesn't mean you can't enjoy Valentine's Day, too.

9. Watch all the romantic comedies you can, and make fun of them.

Be relieved that your life is not as dramatic as "The Notebook."

10. Go on a cheesy date with some friends and act like it is a Valentine's Day date.

11. Or pull a Leslie Knope and have a Galentine's Day with your gal friends.

12. Date dash* a Valentine's Day dinner date.

*For those who don't know, a date dash is when you go find a random person and ask them on a date.

13. Sit at home and chill with homies like it's any other day.

14. Watch all the same old Valentine's Day movies that are on, like the movie "Valentine's Day."

15. Call your parents or siblings, anyone you care about and wish them a happy Valentine's Day.

This holiday is about love and happiness, it doesn't mean you have to be with a romantic love.

16. If your love is too far for you to celebrate with, surprise visit or Skype them.

17. Throw a Valentine's Day party. (It's another reason to party with your friends and have fun.)

18. Make new Valentine's Day drinking games.

Example: Every time you see PDA, take a drink, or every time you see flowers or hearts on your Snapchat story, take a drink.

19. Leave the country and head to a place where Valentine's Day doesn't exist.

20. Be happy for all the people who are celebrating the day with their significant other, it will happen for you eventually.

Valentine's Day truly isn't too bad of a holiday. It's just another day, a little more red and festive, focusing on our loved ones. Just because you're single doesn't mean that this day should ruin your weekend.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
