20 Signs You’re The Leslie Knope Of Your Friend Group

You know how you have that one friend that you can count on for different things? Like you have that one friend who’s always up-to-date on pop culture, following all fandoms from One Direction to "Orange is the New Black." Or that one friend who would gladly make an ice cream run with you at 2 a.m., or go on a road trip on a whim with no destination in sight. But, what about that one special friend? One who is part of a rare breed, a friend to end all friends. She’s like a mixture of your mom, your sister and best friend all in one with guarantees of endless waffles and hugs. She’s your Leslie Knope. There’s a couple of ways to identify this kind of friend, and even you yourself could be that friend! After all, everyone has a little bit of Leslie Knope in them. But what constitutes as holding the honorable title of Leslie Knope in your group of friends, you may ask?

1. You are the one to always have your priorities in order.

2. Whenever picking a restaurant, you tend to favor diners and iHop because you know that breakfast is not only the most important meal of the day, but should be the only meal ever.

3. You’re a goddamn feminist and aren’t afraid to show it.

4. You know the acceptable way to attract a man without abandoning your morals.

5. When your friend is going through a breakup, you know how to help her through it by sharing your own romantic blunders.

6. You are the one who always packs the essentials for any emergency situation.

7. You make every moment a scrapbooking occasion.

8. You take gift-giving to a whole new level.

9. Sometimes you just need to check-in with yourself.

10. You’re a pro when it comes to dealing out compliments, especially about your BFF.

11. But being wise with words means you can hull out an insult if you need to, so people should think twice before messing with you!

12. You aren’t responsible for any of your actions especially when those you care about are on the line.

13. You’re known to be pretty stubborn.

14. You’re so passionate about so many things, that you often force others to see their greatness as well, whether they like it or not.

15. You don’t just work at school or at the office. You’re also known to slay the catwalk.

16. You’re often in awe of your own amazingness.

17. You’re uber confident, but always need reassurance from your friends that you are actually as incredible as you think (which you clearly are).

18. Your organizational skills are always on point.

19. You can’t stand the idea of someone being mad at you.

20. And finally, you have memorized the unspoken rules of friendship by heart.

Thank goodness for Leslie Knope. Thank and share this with the Leslie Knopes in your life. Knope out!

The first two weeks of classes have come to an end and they have been anything BUT easy. It seems like life has been serving up more bad than good and in all honesty, the only thing you want to do is crawl under your covers and hide from the rest of the world.

Although this seems like the best solution, it is also the easy way out. Take it from the girl who took basically a whole week off from her life because she just could not handle everything that was being thrown at her. This caused her to feel extremely lonely and even more stressed out for being behind in classes that JUST began.

"What's more important? What we become or how we become it?"

Brooke Davis

"She was fiercely independent, Brooke Davis. Brilliant, and beautiful, and brave. In two years she had grown more than anyone I had ever known. Brooke Davis is going to change the world someday, and I'm not sure she even knows it." - Lucas Scott, An Unkindness of Ravens

Brooke Davis of the hit show One Tree Hill was the it girl - she had it all, or so we thought. She started out as a stuck-up, shallow, spoiled, head cheerleader who didn't have her life together. She slept around a lot and loved to party - sounds like your typical high school teenager right? Wrong. B. Davis had so much more to offer. Caring, loyal, and outspoken, she has taught us some valuable lessons throughout the 9 seasons that OTH was on the air:
