Anyone who has siblings can pretty much agree that it can be a blessing but a curse at times growing up. No matter what age you guys may be at, you always can rely on family to have your back despite whatever circumstance may be at hand. However, getting to that point of being cool with your siblings and actually having each other's back was definitely a process.

1. When you have your sibling ask your parents for something but they still mention your name.

2. Me: *notices sibling quietly minding their own business in a room*

Also me: "hit them"

3. When your siblings eat the leftovers without asking if you wanted any.

4. When you called "shot gun" first and your sibling doesn't respect the dibs.

5. When you and your siblings break something but neither of you ends up snitching.

6. When your sibling is pissing you off but you're with your parents.

7. Trying to keep your sibling quiet after you hurt them.

8. When you get caught wearing your sister's clothes without asking.

9. When you bring home your new boyfriend/girlfriend and your siblings are silently judging your taste in character.

10. When you hear your sibling talk back to your parents and you know their about to get the hands.

11. Taking the TV remote with you to the kitchen so your siblings can't change the channel.

12. Constantly being told, "you're adopted."

13. Turning on your protective mode when someone picks on your younger siblings.

14. Getting away with everything cause you're the youngest.

15. When people tell you that you and your siblings look alike but y'all don't see it.

16. When you call dibs on getting a shower first and your siblings races you to the bathroom.

17. Your friend says that your brother/sister is just "sooo cute."

18. Saying "that's you" to all the ugly characters in whatever show or movie you and your siblings are watching.

19. Trying to tell your parents you and your siblings aren't being treated equally.

20. Working together with your siblings to get your parents to go out for dinner.

Whether you love your siblings or not there is always a point in time where growing up with them has made you a better person. No matter how much they drive you crazy, you know deep down that they have made you the person you are today and that is always something to thank them for.
