For those of us that grew up in the '90s, there is simply no denying that life was just better in that time period. Sure, life was more carefree, but being a '90s kid is somewhat of a cultural phenomenon in our current society. Here are some reasons why life in the '90s is totally worth missing.

1. Lite-Brite was the greatest company known to mankind.

2. Spending hours on end playing with your Game Boy was completely acceptable.

3. Your TV was tuned to Cartoon Network all day, and "Scooby-Doo" was always on.

4. "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch" made you wish you had super powers of some kind.

5. You rented tapes, not DVDs.

6. Oops! All Berries Cap'n Crunch cereal could be found in your cabinet (and hopefully still can be today).

7. Luxury meant chilling with your Beanie Babies while sitting in your bean bag.

8. You could wear Ring Pops on every finger and not be judged.

9. Slap bracelets of every color and pattern covered your wrists.

10. You owned at least one lava lamp.

11. Parachute Day in gym class was one of your favorite days at school.

12. Picking out L'Oreal shampoo at the grocery store was always fun.

13. You could exercise with your Skip-It.

14. The Barbie cash register made you feel like an incredibly important human being.

15. You owned every Bratz doll on the market and took them with you everywhere.

16. Everyone was jealous of your revolutionary multi-color pen.

17. The Oregon Trail taught you everything you need to know about life.

18. Cell phones weren't necessary to have a good time.

19. You could relate to Hilary Duff on a spiritual level.

20. In the end, the '90s were a period of growth and change that morphed you into the individual you are today.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
