Thank you for being my person, my sister, and my soul mate.

20 Reasons Why My Best Friend Is Better Than Yours
Average Joes Blog

Everyone is biased about their BFF, but being 100 percent impartial and completely truthful, mine is better. If you don’t believe me, here are 20 reasons why:

  1. She is always there to make brownies with me. Let me rephrase that; she is always there to eat a full bowl of brownie batter with me.
  2. She comes over even when she knows all we are going to do is sit there and watch Netflix, but for some reason it is more fun to do nothing together than to do nothing alone.
  3. She puts up with me when I’m super hyper and annoying.
  4. She puts up with me when I’m super crabby and frustrating.
  5. She is honest with me when something I try on at a store is ugly instead of letting me spend money on it and wear it out in public (seriously thank you for that).
  6. She dislikes anyone that does me wrong. And she has a harder time forgiving them than I do because she doesn’t want me to get hurt again.
  7. She tells me that I’m amazing and that I deserve the world, and she’s not just saying it but she means it.
  8. She does spontaneous things with me, no matter how stupid.
  9. She is the best wing woman out there.
  10. She accepts me when I don’t shower for three days and wear the same outfit for a week.
  11. She goes to Chipotle with me even if she has already had dinner just so I don’t have to go alone.
  12. She listens to me ramble about my problems even though we both know that I probably won’t care about them in a week.
  13. She doesn’t get annoyed when I send her 20 messages in a row like a crazy gf to her bf.
  14. She lets me third wheel (but let’s be honest, anyone else with us is the third wheel).
  15. She recognizes my undercover signals when I want to leave somewhere and helps come up with an excuse so we can GTFO.
  16. She tells me everything and she keeps all of my secrets that I wasn’t supposed to tell. (Because when you say you won't tell anyone, your best friend doesn’t count right?)
  17. She is trustworthy enough to send all of my most hideous snapchats to without the fear that she will screenshot them for potential blackmail.
  18. Not only is she there for me when I need her the most, but she’s there any other time too.
  19. She joins me in my weirdness rather than judging me for it.
  20. She knows me better than anyone else and for some crazy (but wonderful) reason, she likes me anyway.

So, I know I don’t say it enough, but thank you for all that you do for me. Thank you for being more than just my best friend, but for being my person, my sister, and my soul mate. I would say that you are the Blair to my Serena, or the Cristina to my Meredith, but you are truly one of a kind and I wouldn’t trade you for the world. I could probably go on and on about how lucky I am to have you, but I better stop now before this becomes even more of a love letter than it already is.

You are the best of the best, and I am forever grateful for you. Love you, bestie.

P.S. Want to hang out tonight?

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.
