20 Reasons To Love Your Mama

Moms are something special. They're this incredible superwoman who has no fears, but at the same time teaches you lifelong lessons from all of their past experiences. They understand you completely, have seen you through your best and worst, and yet still loves you unconditionally. They are patient, kind, truthful, loving, and compassionate. How do I know? Because I have the best mom in the world and she just had a birthday. In celebration of that I wanted to tell her 20 reasons why I absolutely love her from my infinite and ever growing list. Your mom may not be as cool as mine, but I bet you can relate to these reasons, too. Love you Mommy thanks for being my number one fan forever and always.

1. The whole birth thing... or in my case the whole adoption thing!

2.She's your best friend. But not in that weird way where she just wants to be your best friend and doesn't care about your best interest. She is like the bestest best friend ever.

3. Because she's your best friend you can tell her anything. And she still has to love you anyway!

4. She loves you even without makeup on. You don't need to spend an hour baking your face just to impress her.

5. You can share her wardrobe. Because she has everything from comfy to business attire to everything in between. Your shoe closet doubles.

6. She makes your favorite food without question. And also lets you order square pizza even though she hates it.

7. She buys you what you need, but also knows exactly what you want. Because yes those work khakis are totally necessary, but those sperrys are what I've been dreaming of, too...

8. She'll cuddle you no matter what time it is. It's like a never ending sleepover when you're home!

9. She actually listens to you when you talk. I mean sometimes she'll block you out because I mean I'd block myself out, but she doesn't get mad when you repeat yourself 5 times.

10. And after you talk she will judge you when you know you need to be judged. Because it's totally necessary.

11. But at the same time she will be silent when she knows that's what you need. Because this is also totally necessary.

12. She's willing to try the insane wacky things you do. Examples: sushi, Starbucks, exercise, games, songs, etc.

13. She'll also go on the crazy adventures with you, too. RIVER RAFTING.

14. She's the only person you know you can 100% trust. She's your mom. If you can't trust her you can't trust anyone.

15. She will always put you in her best interest and will always want you to success. Especially because she made you and you are a direct reflection on her.

16. Will sing at the top of her lungs with you. To everything from Carol King, High School Musical, Broadway, and Carly Rae Jepsen.

17. She is proud of the little things. Every little thing you do. She will be there with a huge smile and a huge.

18. She does everything for you! Come on, admit it, she does.

19. You can completely flip out and be a total witch to her even though you don't mean it and all you have to do is sincerely apologize and she will love you again. Thank goodness for this one.

20. She'll go all MAMA BEAR when you need it the most.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
