Ah, finally! Warm weather, sunshine, and leaves on the trees! Despite this much-needed change in season, if you're like me, you know that with April showers and spring flowers also comes Kleenex, Claritin, and lots of tea with lemon: I'm talking about the oh-so dreaded allergy season. Pollen and mold affect all of us in different ways (and some of us not at all--you are the lucky ones!). But for those of you who are suffering like me, you know that allergies can really take the fun out of the sun. As I sit cuddling a box of tissues and sipping some honey with tea (I mean tea with honey?) here is what allergy season feels like as narrated by Spongebob Gifs.
1. You know you should be drinking water because you're so dehydrated, but you just can't bring yourself to do it. But you want to. But you just can't do it.
2. You constantly feel like your head is inflated and your hands are swollen and you might be floating but you're not really sure
3. Your eyes are bloodshot and you can't do anything about it
4. You constantly have a headache that feels something like this:
5. People think you're crying all the time but your eyes are just really watery
6. You really struggle to stay awake in class because you're so drowsy from all of your allergy meds
7. You can't help but sneeze uncontrollably on everything and everyone
8. All you want to do is sit outside or pick some flowers but you can't because you know you'll be attacked my pollen
9. In fact, everything seems to remind you of flowers all of a sudden
10. At certain points you really just want to bury yourself alive because you feel so awful.
11. You feel like people think you're always picking your nose, but it's really just itchy (you promise!)
12. All physical activities seem nearly impossible...
13. ...as do intellectual ones
14. Because let's face it, you haven't slept properly in weeks
15. And you've really just been going through the motions to try to get through it
16. You've accepted the fact that heavy bags and dark circles under your eyes are a part of your new aesthetic
17. And you've really taken to embracing this new look
18. You honestly just feel dysfunctional all the time
19. Sometimes it all just seems to hard to bear
20. But then you remember that summer is right around the corner and that you'll be able to breathe through your nose again very, very soon
