20 Quotes To Get You Through Finals Week

If you listen closely enough, you can hear the collective sobbing and screaming of students everywhere that can only mean one thing: it’s finals season. Every student has their own survival kit for hell week, which includes (but is not limited to) the following: lots of snacks, plenty of hair ties and hats (because who has time to shower when you’re studying?), and Google Docs.

It’s important to keep your physical body in good shape during finals, of course. But let’s not forget: our motivations are just as important. We need friends to keep rooting us on, and maybe a few more to yell at us when we think we’re ready to give up.

Or maybe you don’t have friends -- I know I don’t. Don’t worry if you’re in the same boat as I am, because I have 20 people who are here to keep you going during finals week!

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.
