20 Questions I Have For The Rest Of 2020

In This Article:

At the beginning of the year there were many Tweets and Facebook posts about how 2020 is going to be everyones year.

People were determined to make 2020 better than their 2019 had been.

Well we all know that things quickly turned sour this year with many issues taking place that have rocked the nation and even the world.

First COVID-19 shut the world down in a sense for a while and we are still trying to recover from that. Then there was George Floyd's wrongful murder that caused protests across the nation for Black Lives Matter and for stronger rules against police brutality. Following that there have been riots all over the nation. And on top of all of that there have been floods and fires in America as well.

So to say the least 2020 seems that maybe it was not our year, as we are all facing times of uncertainty, anger, confusion, and so much more.

And that is only 6 months in.

However we still have half of the year left and there are many serious and not so serious questions I have for the rest of 2020 (some have spoiler alerts for TV shows by the way).

1. Will we be going back to school in person?

With COVID-19 schools are trying their best to plan to open up for the fall but if there is another spike then that may be hard.

Fingers crossed it starts back up again!

2. Did Carol Baskin actually kill her husband?

The Netflix documentary "Tiger King" staring Joe Exotic grew wildly popular at the start of quarantine in the U.S and lead to many wondering if indeed Carol Baskin did kill her husband?

It is an unpopular opinion but I don't think she did, sue me (just kidding please don't).

3. Will COVID-19 spike again?

I think the whole world is holding their breath right now wondering this honestly.

4. Will laws be passed protecting against police brutality?

I really hope the answer is yes. Because it needs to be yes.

The Black Lives matters movement has been going on long before now and change needs to come now finally that it has the worlds attention. Sign petitions, donate, and share things promoting BLM to help because this is one question that needs to finally be solved. If America is as great is people say it is, then racism should not exist here, but sadly it does and we all have a responsibility to end it.

5. Will the riots stop?

I think we all can agree that the protests going on are amazing and that they are what is going to help change happen. However, the riots unrelated to the BLM movement for the sake of just vandalizing things is getting out of hand and blurring the message of the movement. People are breaking into stores and stealing, putting things on fire, and causing havoc in a time that is already confusing enough.

6. Will the couples from "Love Is Blind" stay together?

*Spoiler alert*!

"Love is Blind" is another Netflix show that became popular this year and I think after the reunion show we are all just wondering when Gigi and Damion are going to get married finally (at least I am).

7. Will unemployment start to decrease?

With COVID-19 unemployment numbers got high and many people were left looking for jobs.

Hopefully by the end of the year things can change around.

8. Will Animal Crossing: New Horizons add new things in?

New Horizons took the world by storm with it's release this year, selling out in many stores. With quarantine going on many found that it helped them relieve stress and allowed them to communicate virtually with friends on each others island. Some even made up for missed graduations in the game.

However, with lot's of free time because of quarantine many have finished the game quickly and are hoping for new things to be added in!

9. Will we have a real estimated date for a vaccine?

The chances of us getting a vaccine and having it widely distributed are highly unlikely in my opinion, but I do think many along with myself are wondering if we will have a date by which we can expect to have a vaccine next year?

10. Will people finally just learn to love?

I am not just talking about the Black Lives Matters movement for this one either. As it is Pride month I wonder if people will finally be more accepting to things and realize that we all just need to accept each other for who we are. In all of the movements there has been change but there are still plenty of people out there who are homophobic and racist.

11. When will it be safe to travel?

Some people are traveling now but it is still very risky. Many people had plans for the summer for big trips like going abroad, so I am wondering when it will finally be 'safe' again to travel, especially traveling by plane.

12. Will Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick get back together?

Apparently Scott and Sofia Richie broke up, which has lead to many hoping that Scott and Kourtney would get back together. I am among those who hope for this and have honestly been waiting for it because Scott seems to be a changed man now.

Plus their kids are just the cutest.

Oh, also while were at it, will Kylie and Travis get back together or is Stass the only one she needs?

13. What is going to happen with the whole Prince Andrews and Jeffery Epstein thing?

After accusations of Prince Andrews being affiliated with Jeffery Epstein surfaced, I am wondering what he will say to authorities when he has to testify or if he will self-incriminate. Either way the girls who were abused by Epstein and his associates deserve justice.

14. Will the BLM movement help others realize that systematic racism exists in our country and that there is more to be done to stop it than just stoping police brutality?

There are so many other things that need to be touched on such as education, housing, and hiring discrimination that are issues for the the black community. Tackling police brutality is a great start but there is a lot of more stuff that needs to be changed. Many people may not realize that this is not just about police brutality but so much more and that it is a fight that does not end with just a law about police brutality, but that there is a lot more that has to change.

15. Will Francesca and Harry from "Too Hot To Handle" stay together?

My guess is no.

16. What the heck is going to happen with sports?

I am out of the sports loop as I do not really watch sports but for football in the fall and other sports what are they going to end up doing? Are they going to have no fans in the stands like some games have now?

17. Will small businesses be able to recover from COVID-19?

I really hope so.

18. Will our loved ones be ok?

With all that is going on right now and how hard it is to travel to see people many people including myself are wondering if their loved ones are going to be ok throughout this, especially the elderly and people living near the riots.

19. Will Harry and Meghan keep distancing from the royal family?

We must know!

20. Will things ever be the same?

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

It's not all morning coffees and singing along to the radio.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!
