20 New Year's Resolutions For All OSU Students

So last year may have not been the best. You may have gotten that bad grade (even if you stayed up till 4 a.m for two weeks straight) or you had rent problems or social issues, etc. When it comes to New Years Resolutions, who really keeps up with it throughout the year? If you're a freshman entering the second semester, or a senior in its last semester, make at least one resolution, big or small, obvious or cleaver, and try to stick with it. They can be serious, or funny. This next year WILL be better than last year, and for a lot of people too.

1. Actually go to class

2. Don't sign up for an 8:30am class

3. Go to more than one bar on the strip

4. Go to the basketball games

5. Work on maintaining finances/create a student budget

6. Balance work hours with school hours

7. Actually get sleep/take care of your body

8. Drink less alcohol (or maybe cut down to weekends) and drink more water

9. Get out of the dorm and explore Stillwater

10. Go out to eat less

11. Stop buying so much junk food

12. Try out the Colvin for more than a month

13. Join a club

14. Change your "C's get degrees" mentality and strive for an A!

15. Go back to your parents less often (freshmen, I'm looking at you)

16. Go to the football games in the fall

17. Be kinder to people (even if it is OU fans)

18. Be more patient when it comes to professors, other students, workers, etc.

19. Do your laundry more than once a month, especially the bed sheets!

And the most important:

20. Wear orange every single Friday

Bob's Burgers
Adult Swim

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

school

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.
