20 Must-Have Songs On Your Christmas Playlist

It's November 28th, Thanksgiving has finally passed, and you know what that means. IT'S TIME FOR CHRISTMAS! I personally thought it was time for Christmas 3 weeks ago, but I'm sure we can all universally say that this week is the time to start "officially" getting into the spirit of the holiday season. Please also enjoy my Christmas picture of me and my dog this year. So put up your Christmas tree, put up your outdoor and indoor decorations, and bake and decorate some Christmas cookies. But while you're doing all that, catching snowflakes, or making snowflakes, make sure you listen to my all time favorite Christmas songs. Because come on, we know you know the words to belt it out too.

1. All I Want For Christmas Is You- Mariah Carey

Because I don't want a lot for Christmas...

2. White Christmas- Bing Crosby

I've been dreaming of a white Christmas too Crosby.

3. Jingle Bells- Frank Sinatra

I love those J-I-N-G-L-E bells.

4. Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!- Dean Martin

Maybe I'll have a guy this Christmas season to make this song reality....

5. Silver And Gold- Burl Ives

Let's be real, you only know this from Rudolph. Oh Yukon Cornelius.

6. Joy To The World- Nat King Cole

Because all of the world should be joyous all the time.

7. The Christmas Song- Nat King Cole

I used to always sing this song without ever knowing the title and it would anger me.

8. It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas- Bing Crosby

Okay so basically any Bing Crosby Christmas song is a go-to for me.

9. Anything off the White Christmas soundtrack

Because that movie is Christmas GOLD.

10. Jingle Bell Rock- Bobby Helms

MEAN GIRLS.

11. Sleigh Ride- Johnny Mathis

If only sleigh rides were more popular...

12. It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year- Andy Williams

Oh yes Andy, yes it is.

13. The Christmas Waltz- Frank Sinatra

"It's the time of year..." So anything Sinatra Christmas is pretty bomb too.

14. A Holly Jolly Christmas- Burl Ives

You heard it here guys, it's the best time of the year.

15. Santa Claus is Comin' To Town- Johnny Mercer

So be good for goodness sake!

16. Winter Wonderland- Tony Bennett

Forever a classic.

17. Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer- Burl Ives

Because, how else were you gunna learn the names of all the reindeer???

18. Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas- Michael Buble

Okay so anything off of his Christmas album is a must listen to this season. Just go ahead and put it on repeat too.

19. Here Comes Santa Claus- Elvis Presley

Oh yes, so hang your stockings my dears.

20. Blue Christmas- Elvis Presley

You know you tried to sing this exactly like Elvis and slide down your hallway in your fuzzy socks.

So obviously I could've had a much longer list, but these are my definite must haves. I hope your decorating and prepping for the holidays will be as festive and happy as mine will!

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
