On March 27th, I finally turn 20. Two whole decades. I've lost friends, gained friends, fell in love and lost important people. I would never go back and change anything I went through because, nine times out of ten, it taught me a lesson I will never forget.

1. Don't be so hard on yourself. Most people don't have everything together by age 20, it's okay.

2. Smile more.

3. Love more.

4. Forgive more.

5. True friendships can get though any and everything. If you can't remain friends with someone after going through something, don't try to force it.

6. Be spontaneous and live in the moment.

7. Boys aren't as important as you think.

8. Spending time alone is the healthiest thing you can do. It gives you extra time to find yourself and learn to love yourself.

9. Although alone time is perfect, associating with other people is important too.

10. Give everyone a chance.

11. Quit bitching.

12. Please stop overthinking.

13. You might not think it, but, you're important.

14. Live life with zero regrets.

15. If it's meant to be, it will.

16. Who gives a _____ (fill in the blank, lol) what anyone thinks of you.

17. Do whatever makes you happy.

18. Meditation is actually great for the soul.

19. Hard work is important and beneficial.

20. Don't give up.

On the Upper East Side, Blair Waldorf is an icon. She's what every girl aspires to be. She's beautiful, confident, and can handle any obstacle that life throws at her. Sure, she may just be a television character. But for me, she's a role model and theres a lot that can be learned from Queen B.

The Perks of Being a Girl

“I just want you to know that you’re very special… and the only reason I’m telling you is that I don’t know if anyone else ever has.”

As frustrating and annoying as it can be, being a girl is really awesome. We are beautiful inside and out. Not a lot of people may see that, but girls have a ton of amazing qualities.

We have unique flirting skills.

We Heart It

Over the past decade, television has undergone a very crucial transition: the incorporation of female lead characters. Since it's a known fact that girls actually do run the world (Beyonce said so herself), it's time for the leading ladies of the small screen to get some credit. Without these characters, women would still be sitting in the background of our favorite shows. These women are not only trailblazers for female empowerment, but role models for women worldwide. With that, here are 15 of the smartest, sassiest ladies gracing our screens that remind us that women do, indeed, rule:
