I never watched this show while it was on tv, sadly. I watched it for the first time last summer and I'm admittedly watching it a second time this summer. This show pulls at your heart strings more than any show I've watched. I've cried over and over at the scenes. This show also gives amazing life lessons. I hope that one day, I'm one of those people at their reunion's in Wilmington. Until that day comes, I'll continue to admire the actors from the sidelines, in this show and their current shows/movies. I'll also keep crossing my fingers that Netflix will make a spinoff/reunion show like they did for Full House. One Tree Hill will always hit me in the feels with their inspirational life lessons and if you ever need one, this is the show to watch. Below are just 20 (there are lots more) of those lessons.

This is a typical quote for high school girl friends. You should always choose your friends over a boy. It is more likely that the boy will eventually leave, but your friends won't.

4.

This is true and will stand the test of time. Life goes by so quickly. You blink and suddenly you're graduating college and becoming an actual adult.

5.

6.

Sometimes people think if they have all this power and popularity in high school, it will transfer over to the real world. Bevin lets you know straight up that, that's not the case.

Don't live your life for a guy. You can miss them all you want, but when you realize that they aren't feeling the same way, it is time to move on with your life.

High school is when you meet some of your best friends and if you're lucky, you'll have known them even longer than that. When you're at the age, you're ready to leave for college. But, it is also the time to be a rebellious teenager with the friends you grew up with.

17.

Live by this. Life is too short to hold yourself back. Go after what and whoever you want.

18.

This is definitely a personal one for myself. My friends and my family are the post important people and I will be the biggest bitch in the world if it means protecting them.

19.

Focus on the good things about the person or the situation. You could turn anything negative if you want to, the point is to not do that.

20.

Never, ever let anyone including yourself believe that you're not good enough. You are good enough.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
