At seven-years-old, around bedtime, I would most likely be found under my sheets with a flashlight wedged between my chin and my collar bone, while flipping through my collection of Calvin and Hobbes comics. My childhood wasn't the only one influenced by the subtle, yet poignant, messages that were woven throughout the comic. From numerous perspectives, Calvin and Hobbes was a must-have on bedside tables, a staple read in the lives of my generation, and a comfort due to its relatability and witty charm. For these reasons, here are 20 things to learn from them.
