Everything was better in the '90s

20 Images That Will Leave All '90s Kids Nostalgic

Being born in the 90's is one of the best things to happen to me. I may be biased but I wouldn't be surprised if others agree. The T.V. shows and movies were better, the snacks were better, the school supplies was better, basically everything was better. I'm all for growing up and of course things are always changing, but there are definitely things from the '90s I wish never left. I took some time reminiscing on the memories of my childhood and came up with a list of things that are sure to leave all '90s kids nostalgic.

1. Mr. Sketch Scented Markers

We all probably spent an unhealthy amount of time smelling these markers when using them but how can you not!? They smelt so good, and were also fun to color with.

2. Hit Clips

3. Easy Bake Oven

You didn't have to be a girl to use this although it was popular among the ladies. As good as the treats were I always got so frustrated because my baked goods never looked as good as the ones in the pictures.

4. Ouch Bubble Gum

It may not have healed injuries but is sure did taste good!

5. Scratch n' Sniff Stickers

Getting a good grade on a test was great but these scratch n' sniff stickers made it that much better.

6. Lite Brite

Not sure if this is still laying around the house somewhere but i'd definitely still play with this. Such a fun past time.

7. The Original Road Map

Really wish these were still around or that I had kept mine so some day my kids could experience the same joy of playing with Hot Wheels on this mat.

8. Hot Wheels

Maybe it's just cause I have brothers but I always enjoyed playing with Hot Wheels and these tracks.

9. Strawberry Creme Savers

If you didn't know what these were or never had them I'm so sorry. These were seriously so good. It feels like they fell of the face of the planet though because they've been gone forever!

10. Weird Bubble Balloons

I feel like I always saw commercials for this, wanting to buy it, but never actually getting it. Still looks entertaining.

11. "Lizzie McGuire"

Oh how I loved this show. Next best thing was when they made it into a movie.

12. Original Disney Movies On VHS

Such great movies that will never get old. It's hard to even pick a favorite.

13. Trix Cereal When It Had Shapes

Such a sad day when they no longer made Trix in actual shapes and just round balls.

14. Skip Its

These were all fun and games until you messed and took it to the ankle.

15. AIM

When the only form of communication was through AIM and we went through such trouble to make away messages. Screens names were always anything but your name, and it was important who your top buddies were.

16. View Master

The best way to travel to places we couldn't actually go to.

17. Rolie Polie Olie

Not sure what happened to this show but it was definitely the bomb.

18. Trix Yogurt

Loved these yogurts and all the colors just made it more fun to eat.

19. Chokers

These were all the rage and if you loved them back then you may be happy now because they're starting to come back!

20. Glow In The Dark Stars

These were definitely something I had in my room when I was little. Perfect for kids who are a little scared of the dark, but also still look cool!

There are of course so many other things from the 90's that I wish were still around today but if I listed them all i'd be here for days. As much as I love my iPhone, it would be great to go back the days of AIM and riding your bike to your friends house to see if they're home. But because that will never happen and most of things are gone for good, it was nice to reminisce a little.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
