Spring break is almost here! There are so many things that you could do over spring break without having to break your bank account and burn hole in your pocket. Here is a list of fun, and well-priced things that you could do over spring break:

1. Spend the day exploring a nearby city.

Some cities have so much to offer! If you do enough exploring, you could find some parks, great coffee shops, delicious restaurants, and some pretty cool stores!

2. Go to the beach.

The weather might be a little cooler than usual, but you will still feel like you are on vacation and will have just as much fun, if not more! It will be the off season for beaches, so prices for hotels and houses will probably be a lot cheaper than in the summer. Also, the beach will not be as crowded as it is on a 100 degree summer day. This will be a great time with your friends and you will make so many memories.

3. Go for a hike or a long bike ride.

You know that place you have always wanted to go hiking at? Well now is your opportunity to get a group of friends together and go! If you are not a hiker, consider finding a bike riding trail and get on your bike and head out with some friends.

4. Thrift shop.

This is not something that you may think of doing, but it most definitely is in your budget! We are in college, so that basically means that we are broke or just about broke, sad I know! Get a group of your friends together and go find a thrift store. You may find some pretty cool spring clothes or even some new decorations for your dorm!

5. Take pictures.

Grab your camera or phone and start taking pictures of things that you like and just do not have enough time to get out and take pictures on a regular basis. Watch for sunsets or even get up early a day or two to see the sunrise! After you decide which pictures you want for sure, go print them out and hang them in your dorm to remember all of the fun you had while on spring break and this will give you the chance to look at something you like all of the time!

6. Read a book.

Not your textbook or the assigned reading that is due right after spring break! Find an actual book that you are interested in or have heard everyone talking about it and give it a try. You might actually find yourself a new hobby since you don't have to read so many pages in a day or have to take notes.

7. Visit friends or family out of state.

Missing some of your cousins or relatives or even friends that you left behind for college that you do not get to see often? This would be the perfect time to pack your bags and go for a few days!

8.Visit friends who are not on spring break.

Chances are you and some of your best friends that you went to highschool with will not be on spring break at the same time. Now is the time to ask them what day they have some spare time and go visit them. This will not only give you the chance to see your friend that you miss, but will also give you the chance to explore what their college is like and get a tour of their campus!

9.Research the top (insert number here) things to do in your state.

This is by far the most ordinary, but this could also be the most fun and exciting adventure! Some of the things that may come up could surprise you and end up being so much fun! This may also help you appreciate the state you live in a little more.

10. Go home with one your friends.

You will not only get to go spend spring break with your friend, but this will also allow you to meet your best friend's family and get to know more about them!

11. Bring home some of your friends.

Let them get to know you better and have a chance to meet your family. You can show them all of the cool places to be in your hometown!

12. Take a random road trip with no destination.

Get some cash, get in the car, and turn the music up, and finally, start driving! You do not know where exactly you will end up, but these are the best kinds of road trips! This could be the worst road trip of your life or the best one yet!

13. Go visit your high school.

Missing one your high school teachers? Now would be the perfect time to drop in and make a surprise visit with them.

14. Start a garden.

It may still be winter, but this is the best time to start planting! You do not need to get fruits or fancy vegetables. Grab a few of your favorite flowers or flowers that look interesting to you and give it a shot. You never know what could happen and you could also find a new hobby!

15. Take your grandparents out.

If you are like me and have grandparents who live near by, give them a call and ask them if they would like to join you on a lunch date! When we are in college, it is hard to find time to spend with the ones we love the most, but spring break is the perfect time to catch up with them and tell them all about your college experience so far.

16. Babysit, clean, work.

Sure it is spring break and the last thing you have on your mind is to babysit for someone you know or go back to your summer job for a few hours, but doing these can give you some extra cash to have!

17. Pedicure.

Enough said! This could be something that you do to treat yourself, or get a group of friends to go along! It will not only be fun, but it will be relaxing and take some of the stress away from you.

18. Bake or cook.

Make some of your favorite foods or treats that you love and make some extra that way you can take some back to school with you. This will cure some of your sadness you have when you miss your meals at home.

19. Spend time with your family.

Spring break will be the best time to be involved with your family. Enjoy your time off from school and just relax with your family.

20. Sleep.

As you know, college students are more than likely either sleep deprived or have a serious messed up sleeping schedule. Now is your chance to get caught up on your sleep and try to get your sleep schedule regulated for a few days!
