Yesterday, I told my mom, "I literally have no idea what I should write about this week." Being the child that I am, I always turn down her suggestions, but not this time!
Remember the early 2000s, when you were in elementary school? All you cared about was shopping at Justice and keeping up with the shows on Disney Channel. Life was so much easier back in those days; I wish I could go back. Here are my top 20 TV shows from when I was growing up (in no particular order!)

1. Rolie Polie Olie
"...He's small and smart and round, and in the land of curves and curls, he's the swellest kid around..."

2. Clifford the Big Red Dog

Now that I think about it, why was he so big?

3. The Powerpuff Girls
I remember playing outside at recess, arguing over who would be which Powerpuff Girl. (I always wanted to be Bubbles!)

4. The Big Comfy Couch

This show looks really creepy to me now, but I remember really enjoying it as a child.

5. The Amanda Show
No description needed! I still try to watch this show on YouTube.

6. Angelina Ballerina
Literally, this show made me want to become a ballerina. A ballet dancing mouse...what could be better?!

7. Blue's Clues
It wasn't until recently that I found out that Blue was a girl.

8. Kim Possible
Who doesn't want to be Kim Possible? She's tough, confident, and totally cool.

9. The Naked Brothers Band
I always thought this was a very odd name for a band, but to each his own. I wonder what these kids are up to now.

10. The Wonder Pets
Lenny, Tuck, and Ming-Ming too...

11. The Backyardigans
Also a creepy show, but I guess it appeals to kids.

12. Legends of the Hidden Temple
I wanted to be on this show SO bad.

13. That's So Raven

Did you hear that Disney Channel is making a spin-off???

14. Little Bill
The animation on this show is kind of weird, but whatever...it was still really entertaining.

15. Lazy Town
Honestly, what an odd name for a TV show. As a college student, I fell like I am the mayor of Lazy Town.

16. Dragon Tales
I was OBSESSED with this show. I remember staring out my bedroom window, wishing on a star that I could be on the show. Don't judge, I was a weird child.

17. Bear in the Big Blue House
Was that an actual guy in the costume, or was it just a huge puppet...?

18. Franklin
A TV show about a turtle that has a bunch of neat animal friends! I think this show was based off of a series of books? I don't know, so don't quote me on that.

19. Nickelodeon's Guts
Another awesome game show! This was definitely Nickelodeon's prime.

20. Zoboomafoo
I actually had trouble spelling that!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
