20 Fall Activites to do in the DMV Area

The weather is cooling off and soon it will officially be fall. I'm lucky enough to live in Arlington, VA, right outside the nation's capital. This area is full of activities, so you should never be bored! Here's a list of things to do this season!

1. Visit farmer's markets

2. Go to a football game. We're surrounded by great college teams as well as the Washington Redskins and Baltimore Ravens.

3. Go hiking

4. Go to the museums

5. Walk around the National Mall

6. Go to a pumpkin patch

7. Go apple picking

8. Go on a bus tour and learn all about the history of DC

9. Visit Annapolis, MD (Chick and Ruth's sells 6 pound milkshakes)

10. Watch your school's basketball team

11. Bake (apple pie, pumpkin pie, etc)

12. Walk around Georgetown

13. Visit different coffee shops and compare pumpkin spice lattes

14. Visit a corn maze

15. Visit a haunted house

16. Read outside by the water front

17. Go to a fair

18. Make your own caramel apples

19. Celebrate Octoberfest

20. Have a friendsgiving dinner

There is so much to do in this area so take advantage of it! If you're looking for more ideas check your school calendar to see what's going on at school! Or look for upcoming events at concert venues! Post pictures and comments about what your plans for the fall are!

Now that graduation has just happened, or is right around the corner for some of us, it's time to start thinking about how we are going to take care of ourselves once we are on our own.
