There's something about Christmastime that makes you feel all warm and cozy inside. I don't know if it's the snow, or the lights, or the music but around Christmas, all just seems right in the world. It's a time of warmth (despite the cold weather), families come from all over to spend the holidays together, and you find yourself daydreaming about places you can travel to to fully get into the holiday spirit (at least I find myself doing that). Ah, yes, good old Hauppauge. We are that town in the dead center of Long Island that barely anyone knows how to pronounce unless they're from the town itself or live in a nearby area. We always have new families joining the community but honestly, the majority of the town is filled with people who never leave (high school alumni) and elders who have raised their kids here.
