It's September which means the season premiere of the newest season SNL is coming very soon! As a "SNL" super fan, I've always had my own list of people that I would love to see host. Here are 20 celebrities that I would love to see take on Studio 8H:
1. Lin-Manuel Miranda
As a total theatre nerd that listens to Broadway cast albums pretty much constantly, being able to watch one of my personal heroes host SNL would be a dream come true. Plus Lin-Manuel Miranda is so charismatic and charming plus a complete and utter genius so watching him performing on SNL would be extremely entertaining.
2. Mindy Kaling
Honestly, the fact that Mindy Kaling hasn't hosted "SNL" yet is a travesty. She is way overdue to host and I really hope to see her make her "SNL" debut this year.
3. Kevin Spacey
Kevin Spacey has hosted before, but not since 2006. It's hard to believe, but that means it's been 10 years since he last hosted! Personally would love to see him host in character as Frank Underwood.
4. Beyonce
The fact that the Queen B has not hosted "SNL" is crazy especially since a lot of artists have been both host and musical guest in recent years. I'm confident Bey would slay at both roles.
5. Dave Franco
Dave Franco has proved on numerous occasions that he has great comedic timing. His delivery on all of his jokes in "Neighbors" and "21 Jump Street" is guaranteed to make anyone laugh. Plus his videos on Funny or Die are, dare I say, to die for.
6. Margot Robbie
Margot Robbie is at the height of fame right now with the release of "Suicide Squad." It would be the perfect opportunity for her to showcase her comedic abilities that were so evident in "Suicide Squad."
7. Miles Teller
If you don't think Miles Teller is funny, then you're wrong and we can't be friends. Any movie I watch him in, I find myself crying laughing especially "21 and Over." This kid would be the perfect "SNL" host.
8. The Final Five
I think these girls just deserve all the recognition they can get because they're phenomenal athletes and role models so I'm ready to see them take on Studio 8H.
9. John Krasinski
Another person who I can't believe hasn't hosted "SNL." This needs to happen as soon as possible. I'm ready to see Jim faces return to my TV.
10. Aubrey Plaza
Seeing Aubrey Plaza host "SNL" would certainly be in my Top 5 Favorite SNL episodes. Bonus points if Amy Poehler joined her.
11. Seth Meyers
I know I'm not the only one patiently impatiently waiting for Seth's return to the Weekend Update desk. While I do love Colin Jost and Michael Che, I really can't help, but hope for Seth (and Stefon) to return to Weekend Update even just for one episode.
12. Viola Davis
Y'all, Viola Davis is a boss a** b*tch, and if you disagree, then I advise you to go watch "The Help," "Suicide Squad," "How to Get Away With Murder" and like every other film she's in.
13. Will Arnett
If you don't think Will Arnett is funny, please watch "Arrested Development" and get back to me on this matter.
14. Kristen Bell
It's honestly so surprising that Kristen Bell has never hosted "SNL" considering most of her success being in comedy films.
15. Benedict Cumberbatch
He can be in a sketch about how much he and the "Sherlock" crew love torturing their fans by only releasing content once every millennium.
16. Mila Kunis
Mila Kunis has been doing comedy since she was a teenager on "That 70s Show." I would say that she's more than qualified to host this season.
17. Adam Devine
My dream would be that he and Rebel Wilson would go on together as co-hosts and musical guest. It would be a "Pitch Perfect" fan's dream come true.
18. Emily Blunt
Emily Blunt may not seem very funny to the average person, but if you procrastinate and watch enough of her interviews then you'll start to realize that she's way funnier than her husband, John Krasinski.
19. Aziz Ansari
Amy Poehler really needs to use her "SNL" connections to get her "Parks and Rec" fam onto the show.
20. Chrissy Teigen
She's the whole package honestly. She's beautiful, hilarious, and totally relatable.
