This time of the semester is especially crazy. This is the time when midterms are in full swing, and the stress level of students is high. The holidays are approaching, and many are either missing spending time with their families, or even perhaps being anxious about what being home again after being away at college will be like.
Whatever the crazy situation, the Bible always centers me. It always gives me strength. And these are the verses I call on and remember consistently.
1. "Don't be afraid. Just believe." Mark 5:36 (NIV)
2. “Don't be afraid, because I'm with you; don't be anxious, because I am your God. I keep on strengthening you; I'm truly helping you. I'm surely upholding you with my victorious right hand." Isaiah 41:10 (ISV)
3.“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” John 14:27 (NIV)
4. “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” Psalm 46:1 (ESV)
5. “Give all your worries and cares to God, for He cares about you.” 1 Peter 5:7 (NLT)
7. “Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the LORD your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6 (ESV)
8. “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9 (NIV)
10. “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28 (NIV)
11. “God will fight the battle for you. And you? You keep your mouths shut!” Exodus 14:14 (The Message.)
13. “The LORD is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in Him,” Nahum 1:7 (NIV)
15. “I can do all this through Him who gives me strength.” Philippians 4:13 (NIV)
17. “When anxiety was great within me, Your consolation brought me joy.” Psalm 94:19 (NIV)
20. “I know the LORD is always with me. I will not be shaken, for He is right beside me.” Psalm 16:8. (NLT)
