Hindsight.
Watching a movie of your own life.
Yelling at yourself to have done something else.
Done everything differently.
Only then you wouldn’t be this version of yourself.
You wouldn’t be you.
Chastising yourself for past mistakes,
Holding grudges,
And withholding forgiveness doesn’t make change.
It only creates frustration.
Anger for today
And the next day, and the next day,
And the next…
Until there is no one left
To be mad at except yourself
Because no one is perfect.
Perfection is a myth,
And perfection lies within
Yourself. It is when you can finally accept
Your own flaws and the flaws of others.
Perfection is when you finally realize that mistakes —
Are okay.
The only perfection that exists is in hindsight
Because you can relive those un-perfect moments
In the most perfect way.
In hindsight, you can take away actions and words which you normally wouldn’t say.
In hindsight, you can remake your life day-by-day.
But you cannot actually remake yourself.
You cannot actually go back and change things which you wish you could.
You cannot make yourself or anyone else —
Perfect.
Life is about forgiving yourself and others for not being perfect
For loving each other anyway.
Life is not about living in hindsight,
Cursing yourself for mistakes already made.
Because that will only cause frustration and anger
For all days.
