Why The 1989 Tour Was The Best Concert

If you were lucky enough to get tickets to see The 1989 Tour, than you experienced one of the best concerts of all time. If you were not lucky enough to score tickets, this article will sum up why The 1989 Tour was the best concert ever.

1. Light Up Bracelets.

When we first entered the stadium or arena, we had no idea what these bracelets would do. Everyone's mind were blown when the opening chords began to play and all of a sudden these bracelets started to light up. Little did we know that Taylor Swift herself came up with this brilliant idea to make the audience light up. You would look around and see the audience glow up in pink, purple, blue, green and white lights. Well done Taylor.

2. Her Looping Herself.

We all know that Ed Sheehan is the king at looping, but Taylor decided to do a little experiencing of her own. At the end of "Blank Space," she surprised the whole audience when she began to loop herself. Also, did anyone notice that the golf club she used had to be at least a hundred dollars? Ah rich people, the things they buy just for props. But, with this looping experience, she proved to the audience that she can in fact sing and gave the whole audience goosebumps.

3. Inspirational Speeches.

Taylor is known to give speeches to her audience and giving them advice (mostly about love). Yes, they were a little bit long and should have been a couple of minutes shorter. But if you really listened to her, she gave amazing advice and I felt like she was a big sister giving her little sister love advice. Thanks Tay, I won't go after guys like John Mayer, Jake Gyllenhaal and Joe Jonas.

4. Special Effects.

Taylor surprised us again with not only the bracelets, but the special effects as well. During "How You Get The Girl" she wore a dress that literally lit up. All the lights turned off and you saw her dress and the movements she was making. The images that were on the big screen were spectacular. You could tell she put in a lot of thought when it came to this tour.

5. Special Guests.

I don't know one artist that would bring out special guests during their tour. At first, we just thought it was a one time thing. But then we started to notice that every tour location had a different guest appear. This just showed how many famous people's numbers she has in her phone. Hopefully one day my phone will be like that.

6. The Fans.

I think this is the only concert that I know all the fans have to dress up. Coming up with a creative costume is a lot of hard work. People literally go all out when it comes to any Taylor Swift's concerts. If you are lucky enough, Taylor's mom will walk around and find people with the most creative costume and invite them to tea with Taylor. That is everyone's motivation when making a costume. Also, just a disclaimer; do not wear cowboy boots and a cowboy hat to her concerts, she is not a country singer anymore.

7. Taylor Swift.

Taylor genuinely cares about her fans and wants them to have the best night of their lives at her concerts. She makes it so that any gender and any age will enjoy themselves. She will never seize to amaze me when it comes to her concerts. Every concert is different and I love it. She is a talented musician who puts on amazing concerts.

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help. When you're in college you become super close with so many people it's hard to think that you won't see many of them for three months. But, then you get that text saying, "Hey, clear your schedule next weekend, I'm coming up" and you begin to flip out. Here are the emotions you go through as your best friend makes her trip to your house.

Winter break is over, we're all back at our respective colleges, and the first week of classes is underway. This is a little bit how that week tends to go.

The professor starts to go over something more than the syllabus

You get homework assigned on the first day of class

There are multiple group projects on the syllabus

You learn attendance is mandatory and will be taken every class

Professor starts chatting about their personal life and what inspired them to teach this class

Participation is mandatory and you have to play "icebreaker games"

Everybody is going out because its 'syllabus week' but you're laying in bed watching Grey's Anatomy

Looking outside anytime past 8 PM every night of this week

Nobody actually has any idea what's happening this entire week

Syllabus week is over and you realize you actually have to try now...or not

Now it's time to get back into the REAL swing of things. Second semester is really here and we all have to deal with it.

panera bread

Whether you specialized in ringing people up or preparing the food, if you worked at Panera Bread it holds a special place in your heart. Here are some signs that you worked at Panera in high school.

1. You own so many pairs of khaki pants you don’t even know what to do with them

Definitely the worst part about working at Panera was the uniform and having someone cute come in. Please don’t look at me in my hat.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.
