Long distance is so incredibly challenging, and yet so rewarding at the same time. Only people that have actually been through it themselves understand the constant struggle and feelings that come with it.
If you are currently or have been in a long distance relationship, you have definitely thought these things:
1. We can do this. We'll FaceTime, and text, and snapchat, and see each other a few times a month. It'll be okay.
2. Maybe this is a good thing. I'll have more time for myself and catch up on school work.
3. I wonder if they want to come with me to... oh wait. Nevermind.
4. It's worth it. It'll all be worth it.
5. I can't do this. Please come home.
6. Okay. Okay. This isn't that bad. One day at a time.
7. I wonder if they are going to come home and surprise me?
8. I know we talked this morning and during lunch, but can we just facetime for a second, just so I can see your face?
9. Am I being needy? I'm being needy.
10. I didn't even know you could miss someone this much.
11. Driving by the place you used to live feels so weird.
12. Why do other couples get to be physically together? That's so unfair, they don't even appreciate it.
13. I know the wall behind their computer so well.
14. It's so strange meeting the people in their new life and realizing they are actually real people.
15. I wish you were here right now.
16. Can I bring my pets with me when I visit?
17. How does time go by so quickly when I'm with you and so slowly when we are apart?
18. The one good thing that has come out of all of this is that moment when you first see them after what feels like forever and you can't help but run over and hug them them that very instant.
19. I hate this, but I would do it forever if it meant being with you.
