Sigma Sigma Sigma, also known as Tri Sigma, is a sorority home for many girls. Over 100 years ago eight women founded Tri Sigma. Each of its members are beautiful and unique and bring so much to their chapters. Here are 19 clear signs you are a Tri Sigma.

1. You know by now what year Columbus sailed the ocean.

"In 1492 Columbus sailed the ocean, in 1898 we were set in motion."

2. You get excited when you get to tell someone Carrie Underwood is your sister.

Yes that's my sis!

3. You have been referred to as "the sorority with the three E's."

They're Sigmas, not E's.

4. You appreciate the nautical theme much more now.

5. You're faithful for life.

6. You get aggravated when someone says "Tri Sig."

It's Tri SigMA.

7. The date 4/20 has a different meaning to you.

We were founded on 4/20/1898. Of course this date has a different meaning to us.

8. We know what Sigma Sigma Sigma really means.

9. Standards is not something we are sent to.

10. Harmony is your favorite Care Bear.

Tri Sigma alumnae Linda Denham created this important part of our childhood: Care Bears. Harmony was created just for Tri Sigma, which makes her the most special of all.

11. Our skull and crossbones motto makes us feel cool.

We rock the skull and cross bones, but still look good in pearls.

12. Everyone struggles to find white dresses and shoes.

13. Purple has become one of your favorite colors.

Purple everything!

14. You think Robbie Page was one cool kid.

15. You're pumped that we now have a national partnership with March of Dimes.

16. "Faith, hope and love are the good things he gave us," but God didn't stop there.

Wisdom and power finish out our five values.

17. You love that you can make a sailboat with your hands.

18. You can make a Sigma as well.

19. You are surrounded by beautiful women.

We are Tri Sigma empowered.

My Tri Sigma sisters love me for who I am and encourage me to be my best me. I don't know what I would be without them.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester.
