Having someone to constantly hang out with is great about college. I've missed the people that I can spend hours with and watch movies until 1 a.m. on a school night. They're there for when you want to trash talk people and confess your undying love for someone else. They never get tired of your obsessions because you never get tired of theirs. You plan your weekend around what they want to do because they do the same for you.

1. You get closer and you spend more time together.

2. You go to football games together.

3. You get sunburns together.

4. You go to the lake together.

5. Your college friends are the ones you drive hours and miles for just to hang out for a weekend.

6. Your college friends are the ones that are down for a photo shoot or for a Boomerang sesh.

7. Your college friends are the ones that are up for a run at 10 p.m.

8. You make party playlists together.

9. You join the same clubs.

10. You get on the same work schedules.

11. You hammock together.

12.You convince each other to buy a hammock.

13. You go on road trips together.

14. You explore Stillwater together (or your respective city).

15. You complain together and listen to the other’s woes and sorrows.

16. You learn their favorite drink (alcoholic and non-alcoholic alike).

17. You have assigned seats in each other's cars.

18. You ride along with them when they’re working.

19. You hang out at their place of work because there’s no other time for you to hang out.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

Sister | Brother Style - Word Press

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.

1. People assume you are mad all of the time.

2. Ten out of ten times you will give off an intimidating impression to others.

3. People do not acknowledge your feelings because you "do not have any."

4. Constantly being exhausted from trying to smile and not look like a witch.

5. And on the rare occasion your facial expressions show how happy you are, your friends think you are going crazy.

6. Each of your friends has said "I thought you were so mean when I first met you" at some point.

7. Then they follow that by saying "you are just hard to read."

8. So naturally if people do not know you they just assume you are a snob.

9. And when you are actually mad, your facial expressions are horrifying.

10. In the end you always look like you are judging people, when in reality people are ALWAYS judging you.
