19 Moments Every College Student Goes Through

Being a college student is pretty great. You have a newfound independence, you're experiencing new things, making new friends, and you're getting closer to becoming whatever it is what you want to be in your life. However, being in college does come with a lot of stress and embarrassing and/or awkward moments. And Tumblr always seems to just get us and represent our emotions so well. So, here is a compilation of moments all college students go through, as told by Tumblr, GIFs and memes.

1. When you go into class after staying up all night trying to write a paper.

2. When you are so stressed that you just want to quit, but then you remember how much you pay for tuition.

3. When its 1 a.m. and you realize that you have a paper due at 8 a.m. that you haven't even started yet.

4. When you're doing terribly in a class and need some type of miracle to save your GPA.

5. When class was supposed to end 10 minutes ago but your professor shows know sign of stopping.

6. When everyone in class seems to understand what is going on, but you are completely lost.

7. When you have three exams and two papers all due on the same day and you don't actually realize how dead your brain is until this happens.

8. When you're trying to decide if it's all worth it.

9. Kinda feeling like this guy in some of your classes when you're surrounded by super smart people.

10. When you hope and pray for a miracle, but it just doesn't happen.

11. When you realize you still have more homework to do.

12. When all of your responsibilities start catching up to you.

13. When you thought it was Friday but it's really only Wednesday.

14. When the professor calls on you to answer a question, but you don't know the answer and nobody next to you knows it either.

15. When it randomly starts pouring and you don't have your umbrella or rain boots with you.

16. When the professor says you can pick your own partners but you don't know anybody in your class.

17. When you have an 8 a.m. class.

18. When you thought you did really well on an exam, and then the professor starts handing back grades, gives you a look as you get yours and then you see you actually failed.

19. When that one annoying kid won't stop talking.

College is the best four years of your life. And although you will go through some awkward and embarrassing moments, and you will be super stressed, the end result is totally worth it.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
