As my 19th birthday approaches and I reach my last year of being in my teens, there are many lessons that I have learned from many different Disney movies. Whether it is a Disney movie from my childhood or a new Disney movie, every movie Disney makes has some sort of life lesson. Here are 19 of my favorite life lessons from Disney movies.

1. "Lion King"

Always remember who you are and never run from your past.

The past can be tough but you just need to remember that the past is the past and learn from it for a better future.

2. "Pocahontas"

Always listen to your heart.

If your heart wants you to do something then do it, don't let anybody hold you back from doing what you really want to do.

3. "Finding Nemo"

Life can be tough, but you gotta just keep swimming.

Push through the tough times or negative comments and as Dory says "just keep swimming" to get to where you want to be.

4. "Beauty and the Beast"

Beauty is about what is on the inside.

It does not matter what the person may look like on the outside it is all about what is inside that really matters. A great personality can go a long way.

5. "Dumbo"

What makes you different is what makes you special.

Never feel the need to be like anybody else, be yourself and embrace, you are your own person.

6. "Lilo and Stitch"

Family doesn't have to be by blood but can be someone that you love and accept.

Some people have friends that they consider family as long as you love and accept them and they do the same for you then anyone can be family no matter who or what they are.

7. "Tangled"

Step outside of your comfort zone.

Just go out and do, don't live your life trapped in a castle or in your home, put your phone down and step outside of your comfort zone and do stuff you have never done before.

8. "Up"

Never give up on your dreams, you don't know what the future holds.

No matter what, never give up on your dreams. Try to stay positive and have a mindset that the future is going to be the way it is supposed to be.

9. "Ratatouille"

Let your past inspire you but don't let it hold you back.

Learn from the mistakes in your past but don't let your past prevent you from your future.

10. "Aladdin"

It is what's on the inside that counts.

Don't judge a book by it's cover, get to know someone for who they really are.

11. "Cinderella"

Always believe in your dreams.

Even if it seems impossible, never lose hope and don't ever give up, make your dream a reality.

12. "Princess and the Frog"

You have to work for your fairy tale to come true.

Things aren't just handed to people, you need to work for your goals to succeed.

13. "Hercules"

It pays off to go the distance.

Always go the distance in everything you do. Don't quit, just keep going.

14. "Frozen"

Sometimes you just need to let it go.

Is something bothering you? Don't let it hold you back and bring you down, just let it go. Things will work out in the long run.

15. "Winnie the Pooh"

Thinking about others can make a difference.

Don't make things all about you, take other people's feelings and thoughts into consideration.

16. "Alice in Wonderland"

You can create your own reality.

You do not need to follow this preset guideline of rules and standards that society makes, come up with your own and live life how you want in your own reality.

17. "Meet the Robinsons"

Let go of the past and just move forward.

If there is something you don't like from your past, don't bring it into your future.

18. "Peter Pan"

Always embrace your inner child.

No matter what your age might be, just let go and embrace your inner child, in whatever way you can.

19. "Finding Dory"

The best things happen by chance.

Don't force things into happening, it will happen when it is supposed to happen.

Now that Halloween is over, it's time to focus on the Holiday Season. Don't get me wrong, I think Thanksgiving is great and can't wait for it, but nothing gives me greater joy than watching Freeform's 25 Days of Christmas, lighting peppermint scented candles, decking the halls, and baking gingerbread cookies. So while we approach the greatest time of the year, let's watch the 15 best Christmas movies of all time.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
