19 Encouraging Bible Verses For the Overwhelmed Christian
Productive Mind

There are certain times of the year where our minds tend to become overbooked with tasks that we cannot simply handle our self. When our minds and bodies become slaves to a planner is when we need to take a breather and remind ourselves that we are slaves to Christ first and foremost. Our faithful God will take all of our weakness and turn it into strength and encouragement to others.

While the world may try to wear us down with its broken promises, we must not forget about the many promises God has given us that he will fulfill. Remind yourself of these God given promises daily.

When we are weak, He is strong.

1. Joshua 1:9:

“…Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for theLordyour God is with you wherever you go.”

2. 2 Corinthians 12:9:

"But he said to me,“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. "

3. Philippians 4:13:

“I can do everything through him who gives me strength.”

When we are fearful, He is faithful.

4.Hebrews 13:6:

“So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?”

5. Romans 8:31:

“What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?”

6. Psalm 105:4:

“Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always.”

7. Psalm 46:1-3:

"God is our refuge and strength,
an ever-present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way
and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
though its waters roar and foam
and the mountains quake with their surging.
"

Cast all of your anxieties on Him.

8. 1 Peter 5:6-7:

"Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you,casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares"

9. Psalm 18:2:

"The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold."

10. Psalm 62:5:

“Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from Him."

Find peace in him, not this world.

11. John 16:33:

" I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."

12.Colossians 3:2:

“Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.”

Trust in the Lord with all your heart.

13. Proverbs 3:5:

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight
."

14. Proverbs 18:10:

"The name of the Lord is a fortified tower;
the righteous run to it and are safe.
"

15. Isaiah 40:31:

"but those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.
"

16. Psalm 55:22:

"Cast your cares on the Lord
and he will sustain you;
he will never let
the righteous be shaken."

Seek Answers in the Word of God.

17. Romans 15:4-5:

"For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus,"

18. Proverbs 12:25:

"Anxiety in a man's heart weighs him down,
but a good word makes him glad.
"

Wear the Full Amour of God.

19. Ephesians 6:10-20:

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace.In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God,praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints, and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?
